The Orleans poker room has announced the schedule for the 2023 Orleans Summer Open poker tournament series, including nearly three million dollars in guarantees. The Summer Open runs from May 29th to July 10th, and features multiple events every day, for well over one hundred tournaments.
The series has been a fan favorite in recent years because of the reasonable buy-ins and a nice mix of games as well as the friendly environment of The Orleans. The long lines and sometimes frustrating traffic and parking issues at the WSOP and other venues on the trip are far away, making events at The Orleans a favorite for locals in particular.
The schedule for the summer open is one of the last to be released, which allows The Orleans to avoid conflict with the bigger events at the larger casinos, something they’ve worked hard on this year. Structure sheets and more details on the events have yet to be released but should appear in the coming weeks and structures at the venue are generally in line with other similarly priced events.
Buy-ins for most events range from $200 to $400, with a few $120 Bankroll Builder events and some of the championship events at higher price points. A few of the high points include a $100,000 guaranteed HORSE event, the $250,000 guaranteed main event with a buy-in of only $300 and eight starting days, and the $200 Sunday Special event every week with a $50,000 guarantee.
