Justin Buchanan

If you asked Justin to describe his relationship with poker, he would without hesitation refer to it as "love-hate." He discovered CardsChat in early 2014 and credits major improvement in his poker game directly to the site. He may not have a big bankroll yet, but he sure has lots of spunk. Other qualities that make him dangerous at the tables are determination, analytical skill, and aggression--now if only he could be more patient and not so prone to getting heated. Activities other than poker that he enjoys include writing, reading, video games, using large words, and frequenting a multitude of websites. Dislikes include cold weather, cold cards, and hot drinks. His favorite starting hand is pocket 9s.

The year was 2001. Chris Moneymaker won the title of World Champion and the popularity of Texas Hold’em exploded. It continued to explode for several years–at least half a decade by my reckoning.
