That's exactly why! At least as far as the German poker area is concerned. PokerStars is required to do so due to new rules/regulations on obtaining a gaming license.

I think poker stars does not care too much for beginners players or micro/small stakes player. But this is already happening for a long time, not in the last few years. Also, they are not generous as they used to be for all level of players. The old promotions of 10 years ago were much better for the players, but now they don't have the same competition as before, so, I don't expect this to change anytime soon.

There are a lot of poker rooms now so you can raise money in other rooms after withdrawing it and come to pokerstars to play more expensive tournaments if you have a small amount, choose other rooms and play there at low limits pokerstars has been on the market for a long time, they have moved away from low limits I think it's logical they are interested in earning higher earnings

You could say they are doing such a big chance like Sports Sunday and Chequered Flag. But this is not the reality. They actually have a buy-in ( a risky 5$ sport bet and participating on a Sunday Milli sattie), and few spots with turbo blind structure can gave you glory. And if you 're able to manage these freerolls, and get your ticket, at the end of the day you spent money and energy, and you found yourself on a field that maybe are better quality than your knowledge.

I share many of the opinions, it is frustrating to realize that poker Stars has become more monetary, it does not hold those tournaments like before, where you could win a lot without investing almost anything, and that has led to fewer players. it is true that poker stars is the largest poker room in the world, and knowing that there should be more free tournaments where everyone has the opportunity to raise their bankroll.

For anyone starting in poker world I would highly recommend crypto poker sites. Usually you can play there on cash tables for less then $0.01/$0.02, because of conversion rate.

Well, some of us can only play PS due to geographical restrictions. Yet, may be because I am new to poker and don't know any better, I am happy with what PS provides in terms of freeroll and buy-in opportunities .

There are some 1.1$ buy-in tournaments with the prize pool ranging from 100$ to 2k$. May be there used to be lower buy-ins in PS, however, I am too new to the game to remember those.

I agree there should be more and more affordable buy-ins so more of us can play.

There are plenty of freeroll satellites in PS to pricier buy-in tournaments.

I must agree with you here...888 has much more freerolls with money prizes than PS or other rooms, it is very friendly to a new players! Probably I see that any room doesn't have tournaments with buy-in less then 1$ with money prizepool. So it is the general problem I suppose, not the local problem of PS. But if you will look at the tournaments starting from 1$, then you'll see that PS has the biggest prizepools. Like 1$ buy-in with 700$ or 1000$ prizepool. You don't get anything like that on 888 unfortunately - they have 1$ buy-in with 250 or 500 $ prizepool. So...maybe the way is to play in all different rooms, because then you'll have the most valut out of that system?
