I am not sure I am loving their BRM advice......

Well they wouldn't want to give you PROPER BRM advice. Then you might be able to avoid depositing more money.

Still not there. Guess I'm not allowed to go to school anymore, too old and bad... :)

I didnt have it either. Then I went to "Cashier" - "Summary" and it made me give my password for that and when I closed out, I had the Poker School option.

I was thinking the same thing when I was reading through the material....LOL

FTP gives better advice in my opinion.

I am glad I saw this post, I took the first 2 courses in about 25 minutes, passed both tests and am now a PSO Tournament member. I highly recommend this as it will open up many freerolls and the info is very good for new players and very refreshing for experienced players.

The courses are quite easy to pass and a good refresher course on the very bascis of Poker. i am going to start the SnG course today.

The freerolls will be $50 in June but will drop to $10 in July so play as many as you can in June.

Yeah the basic and core quizzes are cake. I'm registered for the freerolls that they have up already, but I'm going to have to unregister out of like 6 of them based on work. My boss hasn't made schedules yet for the week that the freerolls start (gotta love retail jobs!!).

I'm actually kind of looking forward to these as I want to imrpove my tournament play, and this is giving me a chance to without taking money out of my bankroll.

\I'll bet that PS has of late been losing market share to FT and others. Anyone know for sure?

I haven't noticed any decline at pokerstars. I assume they were hit some by FT, but I don't think it was anything major.

Stats for the big tournaments last week show that PS has a lot more players. It looks like FT couldn't even cover their guarantee last week. Even if you count the rake they were still over $95,500 short. (PS was short to, thanks to the holiday weekend, but they still made over $50,000 profit)

PokerStars — Sunday Million

I'm liking the look of it.

I didn't have to register as I was already a member of Intellipoker (their previous Poker School).

Haven't been able to locate the $50 freerolls though.....

Also, I have to wait 24 hours between quizzes.

It seems some of you didn't have to do this as you said you did both courses together.

Is that correct or am I missing something?

$50 freerolls do not start until June 15th and they will run four times a day when they do. Then in July they turn to $10 FRs.

The message I saw stated that if you don't pass the first time you will have to wait 24 hours before you try again. Didn't see anything that said you couldn't take both within 24 hours.

Thanks for the help K.

Don't know what was up earlier on but I could do the quiz when I tried just now.

54k max players in the $50 freerolls lol.

That's pretty crazy although I doubt they will be full and alot of the field will surely be sitting out.

I can't locate the page that lists the rewards for completing the various quizzes.

Have searched the whole site but maybe I'm just tired lol.

Hope it wasn't a mistake doing the SNG quiz cos I think you have to deposit to avail of the reward for that one.

Sorry guys, the rewards page I referred to was only on the IntelliPoker site PokerStars previous Poker learning site.

Hope you still get those rewards though, 5 free $3.40 tickets would be pretty sweet and you only have to deposit $20 to get them.

Checked it out this morning... well sorta, I did the quizes but didn't watch any of the videos.
Completed all of the quizes (except for FLHE) in ~10mins. including logging in, etc. SNG --> 100% (I'm glad they got the answers rigth, lol).

For sure the SNG quiz (and am assuming the course content based upon the quiz) would be beneficial for many as it illustrates alot of the mistakes that many players make in them.
hint.... most of the answers are >>>> "put the pile in"

I did the basic and the core and then signed up for two of the freerolls. I'll be interested to see how many people end up playing.

Will probably do the SNG test this weekend...thanks for the tip PO!

Thanks for the heads up. This looks like a cool promotion. The league that is starting in July looks really cool, too. GL everbody in the freerolls.

EDIT: Just did the quizes, the basic one if you've ever played poker in your life you should be able to pass, and the core if you've read anything about poker you should be able to pass.

Thanks for letting me know about this. I just finished the basic quiz. I'm going to move onto the others once I finish my tourneys.

They're in the private tab of the tourneys.

They start on June 15th.

Easiest way to see them is to go to Private tab an sort by name. Then look for PSO games. I hope they keep this naming convention so that future games will be just as easy to find.

Thanks. I didn't notice that there was 4 freerolls on june 15th and 16th until I sorted the tourneys by name.
