You are poker player but u also should think smart outside the poker world,
so you expect they keep the money in a bank right? do u know most banks do not allow their customers to put and withdraw so frequently? it is not good for the liquidity.. banks would have trouble in liquidity since they reinvest your deposit. So if pokerstars deposit your money into banks, you know which rules they use, rite? or if u are able to withdraw money anytime very fast after you deposit, then u can assume they do not put your money into banks. should I explain more?

i have not known any bank who refuse those Transactions. i ve done it many times in the past when i used to ve Business. deposit an withdrawl is a part of Business , it is nothing illigal even if done same day. but ya some pokersites might refuse if it s done just to take Advantage of some deposit Bonus like a freeroll tix or something. otherwise there shouldnot be a problem

:) :) :) ok,this is a funy :)
but..BRM is personal thing, each by itself determines, is not determined by any law that must be respected.
which means that if someone wants to play a 2 NL and depoisit 4000..does not violate any rules.

Agreed completely ... brm is personal issue , no site should ve any Problem if someone wants to Play 2nl with 4k usd so in otherway 2000 BIs..

I absolutely agree with this but the reasons why someone pick one BRM and someone pick another is not just a pick'em thing, you wanna know yourself, your tendencies to tilt your ability to accept variance, for example if you chose a playing stile where you wanna take smaller edges, took plays with really small +EV you wanna deeper BR to be able to handle higher variance and bigger swings, opposite to that if you pick just huge value spots and avoid anything risky then you can take more aggressive BRM...
if you checked my thread, it was discussed more than once last month or two, but still conservative BRM is 100bi and it is still considered as way to conservative by most cash players, not to mention 2k BI , that is just ridiculous....

Again, we are went to far from the subject of this thread, the point is that deposit on a poker site had a purpose of having that money to play with them on that poker site, while this might not be the case here but there was for sure some illegal things done in the past and the rule was made because of it... If anything im pretty sure that all of us agreed to it by accepting the TOS

I see 2 details:
- are you trying to withdraw via same method/account you used for deposit?
- at many poker rooms you should wait at least a week between deposit and withdrawal

dont agree with this. it is our choice what stakes do we Play . and if we Need Money we should be able to withdraw at any given time.

All the poker sites do all These Kind delays in order to Keep hold of Players Money for Long time . They must be earning very handsome interest on it.

They say they Keep the Money in different seg ac , but who knows ?

For example right now in 888 is the WILDSALE promotion, depositing 2000 dollars i have 98$ in tickets of $7............then what, because i deposit 2000 i have to play sit and gos of 215? dont think so...

Recently pokerstars offered 20$ free cash on 1st deposit bonus, but you have to earn enough VPP before withdrawing out. You should check again with Pokerstars support again. I have used skrill for years and I never have any problem with Pokerstars cashier.

completely agree with you that .. we should decide what Level we want to Play .. no one can force us to Play at certain Level cos we deposited x amount

What would happen if you stake someone and he binks big. So he sends the money won on Stars; but now Stars want you to play with the money???

Is that how it works?

So? Is this how this works?
I've read numerous complaints on the internet about withdrawal issues on POKERSTARS.

Its a real pain in the butt. My friend here in Panama was able to withraw money and have it sent to his bank but it took over 30 days to receive his cash. I think this is mostly the fault of Panama banks.

What he does now instead and what you might be able to do is sell the pokerstars funds to another player for cash and transfer it to that player buying from you.

If you dont know anyone who will buy from you, I will assist if you can receive a paypal for the funds. Just PM me if this is of interest to you.

in morals you should think before depositing because if you play so little time it will probably take you some money that is really worth taking because honestly 55 dollars do not represent the least investments you should make to become profitable , do not pay a coach does not do anything, I think you're well lost in what you really want

The first poker book I ever read, by Phil Gordon, had this to say about depositing/withdrawing funds.

1, Find a site you want to try
2. Make a small deposit
3. Withdraw that deposit

This should tell you if they are a reliable site, if they return your $$ in a reasonable amount of time, they should be ok.

With all this talk of problems with PokerStars, now I AM AFRAID too!! I mean, I have never withdrawn either, but I SHOULD be able to withdraw and amount from $1 up to my entire roll whenever I want.

At least in theory. perhaps I should read the Terms of Service again closely to see what restrictions exist on withdrawls.

I was thinking of doing what someone above suggested, withdrawing about $100 to purchase HEM2 and other poker support software. Seems logical that I can take some of my winnings to invest back into my poker "career".

I may be in a very lucky position. I deposited $25 YEARS ago, I went through almost all of that and then deposited another $50 around the time I joined the Poker School. I currently have a little over $300 in my account, so I have done well, but I play at a very low volume. It has taken me about 9 years to make this profit.

PokerStars should have NO claim on my $$ at this point. I paid the rake on any game I enetered, Yes, I made a fair amount from freerolls in the earlier days. Now the freerolls are almost entirely gone, save for 3rd party ones like the Cards Chat freeroll that I hope to play once I am eligible with enough posts, etc.

I am getting VERY curious to see how a withdrawl request will be treated for me! :)

I guess I should post a new thread on that once I try it! :)

Good luck in your games, all! :)
