Is it possible to card count in the FT live casino (blackjack), what do you think?
AFAIK most casinos shuffle the cards continuously, the used cards get placed into the back of the drawing deck and shuffled back in as you play. I would assume the software is very similar if they at all bother to draw from actual decks.
I was involved in writing a video poker application for a casino and generally I went ahead and programmed the poker rules and a virtual deck of 52 unique cards which gets shuffled and dealt to the player. Major fail! The first thing the casino asked was where do they set the payout ratio. The end result was an application that pays out when it has earned enough and has nothing to do with poker.
Besides they use something like 10 decks in any case is there any point in counting that. What I am saying is, at which point would your tally start benefiting you. If you only count the 10s there are 160 of them (TJQK = 4 x 4 suits = 16 x 10 decks = 160) out of 520 cards in play. How many hands do you have to witness before you can be certain the next card is not going to be a 10?
