I noticed that half the players at cash tables joined within the last two months or so. I speculate that many of them had joined ACR to take part in the big tournament. I like acr and I hope they keep all the new players, but I'm sure many were disappointed by what happened. I don't think the cancelled tournament spells DOOM for ACR like some people, but it didn't help any.

I just found this informative VIDEO on the $1 Million GTD. I think it's the CEO of WPN speaking.

It got a little confusing for a second, until I figured out he began chatting with people like he mentioned at the beginning. I think he was reading real time chat at some point and responding to it.

they were almost Close to cover the whole gte Money .. n when they cancelled the mtt, still 45 mts late reg was available. i didnt ve any doubt that they wld ve covered n make Profit on that ,, but then this ddos issue some Kind of hackers hacked into the servor Thing.. so they had to cancell it to safeguard everyone's interest. i dont think there will be too much negative Impact on them due to that .. infact they ve lost Money by doing all Kind of marketting for this gte mtt..

They surely lost money due marketting & promotion on this event but they make right decision. If this tournament had carried on , some people may feel cheated.

I am just curious I did not get to play in it, but do you think winning network took a hit, or will people still want to play here?? If they have these problems and can not fix it if it is techincal don' t they have people for that?? WHat are some thoughts.. I feel it was handled right for the people that got to play, but if they are susceptible to this, then will it ever go off without a hitch?

My question is how many people will play when they try this again. It is possible they can increase the field from more time to get ready and have sattys for this, but I bet there are some people who cashed out so they wouldn't have to deal with this again.

IF, they show stability, AND they add lots of satellites, then yes, they can do it.

However, it sounds like they gave everyone $540 back, even those with a non returnable satellite ticket. That might come back to bite them. Probably would have been better to force the satellite ticket be used for the upcoming tourney, and given the players with those tickets the price of the tourney they won those tickets in. Just for the inconvenience.

Why are people saying they should have cancelled it earlier in the week? Did they know earlier in the week there would be connection problems?

I had been playing for the 1st time online in a while last week on ACR and BCP, and they were getting hit every single day with apparent DDOS attacks that caused frequent disconnects, lag, paused MTT's, and a multitude of canceled MTT's. Many people were guessing early in the week that the Millions would be canceled or not able to run.
