What do you think of wearing sunglasses at the table?

I do it. I wear them because there was one time I was playing at a table with the guy who first introduced me to poker. He would stake me at tables and he would watch me play. After each session he would give me tips, pointers and suggestions on my play. On this particular session he mentioned a hand that he knew I had an ace on. He told me he knew I had an ace because of the way I eyed the ace that hit the board on the flop. Ever since that day I have worn shades at the table.

I use it, I play more tranquilly, I'm more concentrated and I feel comfortable to observe everything on the table.
I get the feeling they're reading my letters without them.
I've gotten used to playing like that.

Personally I have no problem with sunglasses in poker! Who can play poker again will play with or without glasses! Another question is what fish is on the table!?

I wear sunglasses through a hole poker game except on break. I don't get what people are doing when they only put them on before a big decision. By that time they would have given off a tell anyway.

Personally, I think they should be banned from all tournaments.
If a player lacks the testicle fortitude, then what the hell are they playing in this game?

And for all those players who believe that their eyes give away their most inner thoughts so the sun glasses are their security against this perceived theft.
One question: Have you EVER considered turning or lowering your head depending on the position of your opponent, so as to not have this perceived magical ability from the boggy-man lol

Sunglasses can be an advantage over amateurs, but in my opinion, a real professional can also read great about posture and gestures.

Depends on lighting, i used to avoid wearing glasses, to dark couldn't read neither players or cards:] recently got some cool cartiers with amazing two tone color that aint dark at all and the same time gives me privacy.. staring is one of most common tells, wearing glass not only hide my eyes butt also with right type of glasses helps observe others without being noticed
