Because at first glance this is a very simple game and it seems that knowing the rules it is very easy to win. But beyond the usual rules, there are many aspects that professional players use that amateurs do not take into account to improve their game. For example, proper bankroll management or analyzing the game for errors!!! It's like in sports, all people know how to run, but if you get up every morning and go for a run, while maintaining proper nutrition, not drinking alcohol and not smoking, then your results will be clearly better than most people!!!

Poker is full of examples in which we can experience pain, but we need to understand that many of them are beyond our control. The faster you learn to identify those situations that are beyond your control, the faster you can begin to work on accepting them.We must work on those aspects of life and poker that we can influence, and ignore everything else that is beyond our control.

Probably because they over estimate their skill level and think it's easy money.

Quite simply. its a very frustrating game. While this game can be fun it can make you love your mind especially when variance is involved.

I think it's a combination of entitlement syndrome, not understanding the odds and just poor play.... for instance people who post poor hands preflop and then somehow magically flop a hand and then are rivered.... you put yourself there to get rivered so why cry, and yeah poker is frustrating by design👍

Why are so many people who play poker so frustrated?
I think most players who experience disappointment experience it because they had inflated positive expectations. People who start playing poker often think that it will be easy money for them, but in reality everything turns out to be completely wrong :)

Because they don't know how to handle the up and down energy of poker. I think this is almost as important as studying poker to know how to play solid fundamental poker because too many people go on downswings and get filled with negativity and it drastically affects their game. They start raising too large preflop because they are constantly afraid of getting beat, and then when they do, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. People tend to dwell on the negatives and forget that time that they caught runner runner to win a big pot.

Why are so many people who play poker so frustrated?
Because poker is frustrating. My Thursday came this week, I never won one hand all night. I did split one hand only, that's it, never won a hand all night. Lost $418 But still had fun.

Poker can be frustrating due to its reliance on luck, emotional investment, and complex decision-making. The game's variance means even skilled players face long losing streaks. Financial losses add significant stress, especially for those relying on winnings. As competition increases with higher stakes, challenges grow, potentially leading to tilt—emotional overwhelm that prompts irrational decisions. Online play may exacerbate feelings of isolation after losses. Managing emotions and keeping a balanced view are essential for enjoying and succeeding in poker over the long term.
