Sorry to drop in on this conversation but are these the only 3 one can compete on? Is there a list of states that one can check out on this sight? Reason being is that I was pondering that question myself, Thank you, good information.
Not the only 3, but those 3 have the highest traffic(most players). As far as states I believe the only states that offer regulated online poker right now are Nevada, Delaware, and
New Jersey.
Pennsylvania just passed their online gambling law, so they will be next on the list to join, probably early next year.
Michigan also is set to pass a law that will allow their citizens to play online poker as well, but that may take another year or two.
Here's a link for sites that can be played in the US:

Take note though that Bovada and Ignition are the same player pool and company, just different skin. The same goes for AmericasCardroom(ACR), BlackChip Poker(BCP), and TruePoker. These 3 are all the same player pool and company, just different skin.
Hope this helps!
Thank you me; from California been having hard times trying to find a few decent places to play at but most places will not allow one to play. I guess you could say I came to the right place to play : thank you

Glad I could help. I think you will find most US players on this forum prefer AmericasCardroom. It has pretty good software, lots of players, and LOTS of
freerolls. It's my favorite site right now. Ignition has a lot of players as well but offers no freerolls(unless you spend a lot of money on their casino) and it has mixed reviews.
