My friend advised me to sleep before the tournament up to 2 hours
What do you think about it?)
I have not tried it yet ...
But perhaps it's true!

I think that sleeping before the tournament is a bad idea, because the awakening process is slow enough and you will not be ready for the tournament 100%. If you are sleepy, this will definitely not affect your game for the better. Before the tournament you can read, do exercises for attention, you can do physical exercises and take a walk. :boxing:

I find being well rested before a tournament greatly improves my play. For me it doesn't matter when that sleep happens for me. If the tournament is at noon then I will try and get some good sleep the night before and then relax during the morning and review and jot down notes on my plan for the tournament and visualize my self winning the tournament or bagging a big chip stack.

I think that the sleep before the game of poker is for each person individually. But in any case it is necessary to get enough sleep at night.

I sleep only at night and do not play tournaments that start late and it will be hard for me to play them in a sleepy state

  • I think your friend has a point.
  • Taking a nap before the game can make up your mind.

It's not important for me to sleep before the tournament, but when I feel tired after several hours of playing poker then I take a break.

I have great difficulty sleeping, so with me it would not work I try not to play when I'm sleepy. It's happened that I sleep in a tournament after that I'm sleepy, I do not play.

What I do is to sleep 8 hours a day at night after I do not sleep during the day I think it changes the concentration and the focus. During the day I have the tendency to get more connected in the activities like the poker. I look for to feed well and to make intervals to each time, that helps in a tournament

Problem with that is that sometimes you are not going to wake up and be really dissapointed because you missed a tourney because you fall a sleep

I would gladly sleep before the tournaments, but unfortunately I will not succeed.

once I hoped to keep up with poker, I was thinking I would only sleep 4-5 hours a day but I did not scare myself ... but now I go to work for 13-14 hours a day and I do not get my money :)

Well, not if the tournament starts close to midnight, why not get a few hours sleep if you plan to play until the morning! In my opinion this is quite natural!

Sleep before a tournament is not a good idea because your brain needs time to get processing information and enter that state of concentration

You always play best when you are exhausted and ready in your head, never play when you are tired.

Your friend speaks correctly. Sits at the poker table is only necessary in an adequate, sober, and of course slept

A good nights sleep helps a lot, not sure about two hours before, may make you a bit groggy

I would advise to sleep not specifically before the tournament, but in general on a daily schedule of at least 8 hours. 2 hours before the tournament will not relieve fatigue, on awakening, irritability may occur and the cumbersome processes work one hundred percent only after a warm-up.
