OK guys I'm back! Feeling pretty sick today got a bit of a cold, so I'm gonna have to be kinda quick in my responses.
Onto answering the questions:
Good luck to you man you seem to have it all, I have a question. If you get to the end of the year and it seems off target, would you consider moving up in stakes to increase VPPS earned and/or increasing the amount of tables at current stakes? What is 24-tabling like I'm just starting to get used to 9+ tabling sit and gos but my monitor is only 17" so I now have to cascade even though I prefer tiling. Is it worth getting another monitor yet or not until I'm comfortable playing 18+ tables on cascade?
Answer: yea, I would def consider moving up in stakes, especially if the record was within arm's reach! 24 tabling is a bit tricky at first, but I have been doing it for a few years now so I'm really good at multitabling. I tile btw
With 9 tables, I don't think you need another monitor yet.
Also, best thing you've bought with your FPPs?
Answer: Ummmmm I'm pretty sure all I've bought are the 4K bonuses
I like cash!
Oh and btw I know you're s/s now. I've tried this and ran like death. In fact I actually think it's almost impossible to win at 100nl s/s. What changes have you made to your game to adapt to s/s, because I'm sure you were a winner playing 100bb's.
Response: I am a winner shortstacking 1/2nl, 2/4nl, 3/6nl, and am ev+ ss'ing 5/10nl. So it is possible. The changes I had to make was getting used to 3b'ing a much wider range, and learning to play poker with a smaller stack to pot ratio flop and onwards
Also are you getting coaching from needbeer?
Answer: I was going to, but I declined so far as everytime I'm about to get coaching from him, I have an "aha" moment and my game picks up.
Have you seen his coaching manual?
Answer: yes, i have it
How many buy ins do you like for each level? (s/s bi's)
Answer: needbeer suggests 5,000 bbs. So that's what I go with.
From my experience of s/s, losing money in the blinds is a huge factor, have you developed a strategy to solve this?
Answer: yes, 3b like a mother f'er
I am almost breakeven in the small blind as a short stacker, so it can def be done with hard work.
My question is this.... Why did she choose the scorpion tattoo?
Answer: Cuz it looks hot, and she's a scorpio (or was, as I just heard they changed around the astrological signs?). It was actually henna, and we got it in cozumel.
He's already got over 8,000 VPP so far this month.. in a matter of 2 weeks.
Resposne: I am at 102K vpps so far this year..off pace, but not bad
Yeah it's gonna be a really difficult task. WizardofAhhs broke the record last year and he's a f'kin machine, plus he actually wins money as well as putting in insane volume.
Response: I too win money as a short stacker. You can check my ptr if u like.
By tiling your tables there is a lot of extra mouse movement. Are you worried about carpal tunnel or wrist strain? I would imagine my arm would be pretty sore doing that for 10 hours a day. Also would it not slow your decision making down having to look all over?
My wrists do hurt a lil sometimes, but I think from doing it so much I kind of got used to it. My gf just told me carpal tunnel is for pu$$ies
I find that my results are better when I tile. I have tried tiling, cascading, and stacking..and tiling wins for me
About eye strain, I've never really had a problem with it for some reason. A helpful program is flux...google that and dl, and it makes it easier to see
Poopy, your winrate seems to be much much higher at full ring -- why the decision to play more 6-max? Is it purely to rack up more VPP to break the record?
Answer: I own full ring pretty hard, but I just can't get them vpps. My 6m stats on ptr are crappy bc i never really put the time in to learn it. I am finally understanding the game, and the last 300K hands or so playing 6m, I am between .5ptBB/100 and 1ptBB/100, so doing better
The key to 6m is that I get so many more hands for vpps...and I really want vpps this year bc I hope that with breaking the record will come

Also, what techniques / things do you do to help keep you playing your A-game and in the zone over the long haul?
Answer: The hardest thing in poker is playing your A-game all the time. I just try to constantly focus on playing my best and not worrying about short term results...although they do affect me a bit...I just think way less then most people...I'm very used to swings at this point in my career. Taking breaks every 4 hours max is also a good help. I play my best within 2 hour sessions...but if I go passed 4, my game def lacks...
Do you listen to music while playing, and if so, what kind of music?
Answer: Ummmmm I watch starcraft 2 games most the time, and they have like techno'ish kinda music on. I also watch south park while i play and other tv shows more then music
Are you a big coffee drinker? Other caffeine drinks? Prescriptions? Just wondering how you stay focused for the long haul.
Answer: No, I don't drink coffee or any other caffeine drinks. No prescriptions. Health is a very big issue to me. Those things are all bad for you...I'm very much into raw vegan foods. Even though it has been hard for me to stick to that diet, it is what I want to do as I know it is the best way to be healthy and focused.
Whew!! That's it guys, sorry if this post looks huge but I had to answer your questions! Gl at the tables, will report back tmw
Oh and update today made 8K vpps and lost 8 hundo.
edit: Oh and I almost forgot- thx to everyone for the good luck wishes, I appreciate it!
