Play mostly on the weekends any more. Hard to know what mindset I'm going be in coming home from work. Huge portion of my work day is in front of a computer. Going home and turning a computer on is been pretty hard to do for the last years or so.
Rather play a short table SnG if the poker bugs hit during the work week. Weekends are different story, have lot more patients for a 6 to 9 hour grind in a MTT.
I used to play mostly early late evenings, but have found more success in the late morning/early afternoon. Feeling fresh and my brain is in top shape and less prone to tilt
Although there are not as many good games in the early mornings I do prefer to play then. I am fresh and relaxed and have no distractions so I can focus so much better. Early afternoon is second to that if I want to find a more challenging tourney with more players. I have pretty much finished entering long tourneys at night now as I tend to doze off during the game and I am just too tired and its wasting my money.
The best time to play poker in order to maximise your profit will be at the weekends. The weekends always bring in recreational players who are just willing to 'gamble' and is where you'll tend to make the most money. You'll tend to find less recreational players on weekday evenings as they may have work in the morning and thus not have time to play.
learned here in the forum and in my little experience in poker ,skill on the table is a foundation.for the skilled is always good weather and for apprentices like me, it's always time to learn
I'll tell you one thing, the worst time to go to a casino is during the daytime dead hours on weekdays. In other words, players at the casino at 11am on a Tuesday are more likely to be sharks than weekend evenings when everyone in the whole world comes in.
The best time to play is USA/canada primetime or Euro primetime. The action is always a bit better on weekends. The action is usually a bit better during the winter months as well (Nov, Dec and Jan).
I always play at night ,I think that is better, and less people at the tournament, ands is the same in the morning, but it's fan to play at afternoon ,I can play all day , I just enjoy when I play poker, it doesn't matter the time
Based on my poker tracker data, I have better results late morning/early afternoon and on weekends. Someone at the casino told me that it's likely because its recreational players on the weekend but the grinders during the week!days. Hard to say but seems logical.
