UPDATED: currrr14: Breaking Down A Villain's Ranges Part I

There was a brief leak of villain's name in the original video. Because YouTube does not allow replacements, we had to delete the original video and upload a new one.

currrr14: Breaking Down A Villain's Ranges Part II

We continue currrr14's free video series for HUSNG.com on breaking down opponent ranges with the second installment. In the first part, currr showed us how to analyze the stats that he has on the opponent he has chosen for this demonstration. In this second video, now armed with insight into villain's ranges, currr takes us through a hand history review of hands played against this villain.
If you missed part one, be sure to check it out earlier in this thread, and keep an eye out for our release of part 3.

New Video Pack: Coffeeyay's Beating Spin & Go Poker

Today, we proudly present a new video pack from Coffeeyay: Beating Spin & Go Poker.

PokerStars's Spin & Gos garnered controversy initially, but regs who embraced the format discovered it to be very profitable, and a comprehensive strategy guide has been long overdue. Coffeeyay has stepped up to fill this void in fine style, producing a video pack that is over 14 hours long, the longest single-author video pack ever released by HUSNG.com. Coffeeyay's approach in this pack is position-focused: of the 25 videos in this pack, five are non-positional, but then each position is treated to three thorough classroom-style videos to cover the various scenarios, and each classroom-style video is accompanied by a hand history review video to provide practical illustrations of these concepts in action.

Whether or not you have already discovered the money to be made with this hot format, this video is a must-have to maximize your earnings. Check out the free introductory video below:

Then, after watching the intro vid, head over to http://www.husng.com/content/beating-spin-go-poker for more info and to see seven sample video clips taken from the pack itself.

Introducing SpinNGoHUD

Ever since its 29 September global launch, PokerStars's Spin & Go format has been pulling a signficant amount of action, and much of that action has been from weaker opponents than what regs have come to expect at the more established formats. Yet in spite of the format's profitability, material to help players succeed in this format has been slow coming to market. Two weeks ago, we introduced the first strategy video pack for the format, and today, we proudly follow this up with the first premium PokerTracker 4 HUD. Designed and programmed by currrr14, this advanced HUD has spent the past month being rigorously tested by over a dozen regs to get it ready for its public release. The right tools are an important part of maximizing your earnings, and this HUD is sure to become a vital component of any Spin & Go professional toolbox.

spinngoplus_screenshot-low.png

This HUD is in two versions, a "Pro" version in which the most important stats can be easily seen at a glance, and a "Plus" version that further breaks stats down by blind intervals. Buyers of this HUD will receive both versions.

Spin & Go HUD Version 1.0.4 Released - Now Includes Heads-Up Tracking

Today, we are launching a large update to our Spin & Go HUD. While this update has several new features and corrections, the highlight for many customers will be the inclusion of heads-up tracking.

Although our Spin & Go HUD underwent a month of real world testing prior to its public release one week ago, the public release has nonetheless provided us with volumes of feedback and suggestions regarding this HUD. Designer and programmer currrr14, committed to ensuring that this HUD meets the quality standards that professional players demand, has been hard at work incorporating this feedback into the HUD. So much work has been done since the initial public release that we are going straight from version 1.0.1 to version 1.0.4.

The most noticeable change is that while version 1.0.1 was distributed with two seperate profiles, a "Pro" edition for clear access to the most essential stats and a "Plus" edition enhanced with stats filtered by blind levels, for the 1.0.4 release we add a third profile to the mix: a "Pro+HU" edition that adds heads-up stats! As before, a single purchase comes with access to all three profiles, and players can thus choose the balance of information density that is right for them. If you are already used to switching to a heads-up-focused HUD (such as our popular CoffeeHUD) when your Spin & Go game drops down to heads-up play, you can continue to enjoy the Pro and Plus editions in the same state as they were without the addition of heads-up stats. If you do not have a dedicated heads-up HUD, or do not want to have to switch HUD profiles when the game situation changes to heads-up play, then the Pro+HU edition has you covered.

Here is a screenshot of what the new Pro+HU edition looks like:
spinhud-prohu_screenshot-low.png

This update has several other changes that players will welcome. Here is the changelog since version 1.0.1:
  • Pro+HU: First release!
  • Pro: Hands count stats fixed to only count 3-handed hands.
  • Plus: A bug in which BU OS stats were showing under SB OS has been fixed.
  • Plus: Nash chart now shows both Pusher and Caller.
  • Pro+HU, Plus: Font sizes changed to 6 for text labels and 7 for stats to fit better at the tables.
  • All editions: Added a note editor.
  • All editions: All stats are now cached for faster performance.
In addition, currrr14 has recorded a brief tutorial video in which he provides an overview of the stats and also demonstrates several technical tips for usage. The video can be found on the Spin & Go HUD description page.

Just as CoffeeHUD has proven to be the HUD of choice for heads-up pros, we are dedicated to producing the premiere HUD for Spin & Go poker. Questions, comments, suggestions, and feedback of all kind are welcomed and encouraged via our e-mail at membership@husng.com.

To learn more about this HUD and to see currrr14's video, head over to http://www.husng.com/content/spin-go-hud.

Spin & Go HUD Updated To Version 1.0.6

We have just released a new update from currrr14 for the Pro and the Plus editions of Spin & Go HUD. To prevent this update, which raises the version numbers on Pro and Plus to 1.0.6, from wiping out everyone's customizations (table group positions, font size changes, etc.) to the HUD, we are adding these updated profiles as new profiles rather than overwrites of the previous 1.0.4 profiles. Thus, you may continue to use the 1.0.4 profiles at your leisure, and switch over to using the 1.0.6 profiles when you are ready to do so. If you wish to have us remove the 1.0.4 and / or the older 1.0.1 profiles from your PT4, send us an e-mail to membership@husng.com.

Both the Pro and Plus editions received the following changes:
  • Added Flat BB vs SB Steal
  • Hands stat only counts 3H spots
In addition, the Pro edition also received the following change:
  • Created popups for different depths

Here is a screenshot of the Flat BB vs SB Steal:
spinhud_fbb-vs-sbs_screenshot.png

Here's what the new popups in the Pro edition look like:
spinhud-prob_popups_screenshot.png

This HUD is continuing to grow in features and functionality. If you have any suggestions on how to revise either of those additions, or if there are any other stats you would like to see, currrr14 is eager to hear from you. Please drop us a line, either as a comment in the discussion thread of the Spin & Go HUD description page or shoot us an e-mail to membership@husng.com.

Here's a great video from a member of our site about how he stays motivated to achieve supernova elite - http://www.husng.com/content/husngco...supernova-elite

What's interesting is that this member contacted me about coaching in the spring and he was only playing around the $30 buyin hyper turbo HUSNGs.

He's done a lot of 6 max hyper to get SNE though, and plays higher in that game. But just a really cool video, looks like a professionally done PokerStars video.

Barewire Heads Up Cash Two-Tabling Vs Tough Reg

In this HUSNG.com video, heads up no limit cash expert Barewire reviews games he played two-tabling against a strong opponent on PokerStars. To increase the value of this video to its viewers, Barewire reviews the decisions in this vid while intentionally ignoring his history against this opponent, instead focusing on using only information that he would have learned strictly from within the games reviewed.

Barewire, who is also known as KRab42 on PokerStars, is highly regarded for his skills and knowledge in the heads up no limit cash format. HUNL Cash can be very profitable to a knowledgeable professional, but the format's lower popularity profile means that finding good instructional materials for this format can be difficult. Barewire has consistently been one of the best sources of such materials, and on HUSNG.com we sell two instructional video packs from Barewire, one focused on giving HUNL Cash beginners a wide introduction and the other focused on building deeper with more challenging concepts. You can find them here:

currrr14: Breaking Down A Villain's Ranges Part III

Here is the third installment in HUSNG.com poker player, tool developer, and video author currrr14's free series of videos teaching about analyzing a villain's tendencies. His first video in this series gained much appreciation for currrr14's very thorough walkthrough of understanding the data he had available on the opponent that is the target of this series. After showing us how to put this villain into ranges with the first video, currrr14 then proceeded to show us how to put theory into practice with his review of games played against this opponent in the second video, and where the second video left off is where this video picks up. currr continues to review hands against this player, and we will also have one more installment of reviews for this series later.

Speaking of currr's tool development, about a month ago we released the Spin & Go HUD that was both designed and programmed by currr. The Spin & Go HUD is a HUD addon for the PokerTracker 4 statistical tracking software that is targetted at the 3-handed Spin & Go format. Since then, currr has been collecting feedback from customers and has continued to come up with new ways to enhance this HUD. He has released two updates, and already has started developing his ideas for making this HUD even better. To find out more about this HUD, head over to: http://www.husng.com/content/spin-go-hud

currrr14: Breaking Down A Villain's Ranges Part IV

Here is the final part of HUSNG.com poker player, tool developer, and video author currrr14's free series of videos teaching about analyzing a villain's tendencies. This video continues, and concludes, with the hand reviews portion of this series. If you are just now tuning in to this series, it is well worth starting from the first video. All three of those videos can be found earlier in this thread.

Speaking of currr's tool development, about a month ago we released the Spin & Go HUD that was both designed and programmed by currr. Hello. I noticed that most of your videos are for hyper turbo SNGs or some other variants of HU play (cash HU, Spin&Go..)

As normal speed HU SNGs player I just wanted to know do you have any normal speed HU SNGs related videos or packs?

Thanks :)

Spin & Go HUD Updated: Pro to 1.0.7, Plus to 1.0.8

We have a twin update to Spin & Go HUD, updating the Pro edition to version 1.0.7 and the Plus edition to 1.0.8. currrr14's testers have been testing these versions for a full month to prepare them for release. Key features in this release include:
  • Main panel is split into two panels.
  • First to Act and Facing Action.
  • Stats are rearranged to see what your opponent is doing more efficiently.
  • VPIP stat for SB and BB facing action has been added.
  • Fold to steal stat for SB and BB
  • BB Flat Stat is flat vs. SB Steal
When a premium PT4 HUD is updated, any changes that the HUD's users had made to the HUD on their local PT4 install, such as table group positioning, font adjustments, and adding extra stats, are lost through the update. To counter this effect and preserve local individual modifications made to the HUD by its users, we deploy updates to this HUD as new profiles installed parallel to the old profiles (this is the same approach that we use with CoffeeHUD updates). What this means for you is that you will have all of the older versions alongside the new versions. Your old versions will still have any modifications you had made to them, which gives you the power to patiently replicate your modifications in the new versions without having to worry about your modifications disappearing. However, a growing list of HUD profiles can cause increases in PT4 startup times and clutter in the HUD list. If you would like to have the older versions removed so that only the current versions are kept, please send us an e-mail to membership@husng.com. In your e-mail, please include the last six digits of your PT4 registration code so that we can more easily identify your PT4 license. You can find the last six digits of your PT4 registration code inside PT4 itself by opening the "Help" menu and selecting "About".

Any time a new custom HUD or or other kind of addon is installed in PT4, it is a good idea to perform a custom cache rebuild. This can be launched from within PT4 as follows:
  1. Open the "Database" menu
  2. Select "Database Management"
  3. Select your database (if you have more than one database, you will need to repeat these
  4. steps for each database in turn)
  5. Click "Rebuild Cache"
  6. Select "Custom Cache Rebuild"
Please be advised that if you have a very large database, a cache rebuild can take a long time. For those with particularly large databases, we recommend that you wait until after you are finished with your grind before starting the rebuild.

We hope that you find this HUD useful and exciting. We welcome any and all suggestions for improvements. If you would like to provide us with feedback on this HUD, please e-mail us your comments to membership@husng.com.

For more info about the Spin & Go HUD, please head to http://www.husng.com/content/spin-go-hud.

Beating Recs by ibavly

HUSNG.com is proud to announce a new heads up hyper turbo video pack for which 100% of the proceeds will be going to charity. We present, from first-time video pack producer ibavly, Beating Recs.

While so much training material has a heavy, or in some cases near-total, emphasis on playing vs regs, it is against recs that the most money is made. In this pack, ibavly live-reviews hands against recreationals at the 60s and 100s. There is also a conceptual section which includes an interesting discussion about folllowing gut feelings or hard analysis.

This is a shorter pack, 39 minutes in length. At $20, it is also priced very competitively. Still better, all of the revenue this pack will generate will be split between two charities in Toronto, canada. If you would like to donate to a good cause and come away with a pack that focuses on areas that do not receive much attention, please visit our main page for this pack here: http://www.husng.com/content/beating-recs
