15/11 is probably super LAG for FR rush, though, so you're probably going to make more $$

So as a SNG player, I now earn 10 FTP's per $1 of rake, but still earn $0.27 in rakeback, is that correct?

Yes. Your MGR will not be effected AND you'll get more points. Seems fair.

Might be useful to some people. The old method significantly benefited tighter players as you can see from the table.

Belgo has pretty much nailed it here but adding my own bit. It'll be a pretty huge difference to some people but it will be more "fairly distributed" if you want to call it that. The more rake you generate the more you get back. Fishes then.

Typically, for a TAG reg, you have

dealt rake > actual paid rake > weighted contributed rake

the above link confirms that for TAGs, dealt > actual. And much more so for nits. But the move by FTP goes too far in fixing that. Instead of making it fair, they make it so that they tax winning players in order to give money back to the fishes (for the very few who signed up with RB) or to their affiliates.

So I guess if we all become aggro spewtards it's a win win. I don't think I should have too many problems there imo, that's to say I'm a spewtard!

:D

I just did a 100nl 6max session playing 24/19 and 3betting 8%. Dealt rake, rake paid and weighted contributed rake were pretty much identical, so that would more or less be the break-even point for RB%. On the other hand you win a shitload of FT points at 6max now, so that's an improvement.

the change gives back more money to fishes and less to regs. Since fishes play until they're broke and regs cash out, this leaves more money in the games and FTP wins.

isn't cancelled out by the non-rb fish? won't they end up just paying more rake to fulltilt taking money out of the game?

Only a matter of time before they go to the way of no rake at all.

Have the RB changes effectively made BC pointless?

Is Stars still the way to go if you're going to make SN?

I think tighter players are more likely to get rakeback and full tilt are aware of that.

Well this is an intresting change but seems like a mistep too me, have they done this too try and compete with supernova and elites? I think tilt have made a few innovative changes with rush poker and new tourneys like cashout etc but will this not upset alot of people who wont play enough for nova but like the perks of 27% rb?

If you're American and you don't play enough for SN I think you have to put up or shut up tbh, which really sucks.

I like that 6-max and I assume HU will be a bit better at generating FTP's now. Coulda done with this a month or two when I was grinding 6-max and some heads up lol, now I'm back at FR but the call of 6-max is always there :)
