This is the first time I've heard about such a verification scheme, thanks for the information. At almost all poker rooms, I first registered and then started playing, to avoid such moments !!! In 888 poker my documents were checked for 2 weeks, all this time I could not play. Now everything is fine in this poker room, the only thing I just win a little there)))

Maybe I jump the gun, will give 888 a chance to process the withdrawal. Have had no contact from them yet. I am assuming they they will email me stating that I need to send all this documentation while having it notarized for 100$, AKA stealing my 100$, but maybe they will do the right thing and just wire me the 100$ with a reasonable level of documentation or none at all.

Read the one post, where poster is saying that only in extreme cases do you need to get your documents notarized. I just got an email saying these are our rules, and am like wtf is this. So I made this post and just copy and pasted there rules dictating that I will need a notary.

Hopefully this is not the case. Will wait and see.

If a notary charges you more than $0-10 then they are the ones who are the scammers.

Not sure where he is from but to my knowledge $100 US notarisation fee is for big things like mortgages. Some documents like this should cost around $5-$10 US.

I verified my 888 account about 5 years ago. I needed to just to send them a copy of Driver's Permit and Utility Bill. I have withdrawn from 888 many times with zero issues. They just have annoying 72 hour wait period before processing for all non vip members withdrawals.

This is their actual policy read 5th point again.
You may be requested to send some or all of the following documents:
  • A copy of photographic ID: This can be in the form of a copy of a Passport, Driver’s Licence or National ID card. Specifically it is the photograph page of the ID that we require for our verification checks. Please ensure that your name, photograph and signature are visible on the document
  • Credit/Debit Cards: A copy of the front and back of the credit/debit card(s) used to fund your account. Please ensure that all details are clearly legible to enable prompt and accurate verification. For security purposes, you should block the middle eight numbers on the front of the card and the 3 digit security code on the back of the card.
  • Proof of address: This may be submitted in the form of a utility bill or a credit card statement. It should be a recent document showing your full name and address as registered on your account with us. If you provide a credit card statement please ensure that you blank out the eight middle numbers of the credit card.
  • Other documentation: In exceptional cases, we may also request additional documents not included in the list above.
  • Notarised documentation: In exceptional cases, we may ask for your documents to be authenticated by an appropriate qualified Notary/Solicitor and signed and stamped as proof of legitimacy.

888 is not a scam. It is a very good room. It is the best room for freerolls.

They have a vast number of them and they have all sorts of Poker, Sports Betting and Casino free promotions. With a little time and effort you can make some money from nothing on this site.

This is my last 3 months transactions no deposits and I have withdrawn $70 odd.

In the past they send the money to my credit card, but apparently that is no longer an option with Mastercard. So now its always wire transfer. The wire transfer itself takes two banking days, but this might depend on your location I guess. You cant actually freely choose. Its explained in their withdrawal policy on the homepage.
If you deposit from the other payment method you will can withdraw via this. Do they or bank charge something for wire transfer?

I play microstakes, win 100$, but since 888 wants to be aids I will never get. This is there verification process.

Main Verification Documents
  • Photographic ID: A copy of a current photographic ID is required for your first withdrawal request. This photographic ID can be in the form of a copy of a Passport, Drivers License or National ID card. Specifically it is the photograph page of the ID that we require for our verification checks. Please ensure that your name, photograph and signature are visible on the document.
  • Credit/Debit Cards: A copy of the front and back of the credit/debit card(s) used to fund your account Please ensure that all details are clearly legible to enable prompt and accurate verification. For security purposes, please block the middle eight numbers on the front of the card copy and the 3 digit security code at the back of the card copy.
  • Proof of address: This may be submitted in the form of a utility bill or a credit card statement. It should be a recent document showing your full name and address as registered on your account with us. If you provide a credit card statement please ensure that you blank out the eight middle numbers of the credit card.
  • Notarized documentation: Your documents will need to be authenticated by an appropriately qualified Notary/Solicitor and signed and stamped as proof of legitimacy.
Apparently I'm supposed to get a ****nig Notary/Solictor, to withdraw 100 ****ing dollars. These guys are huge ****ing scammers. Who's gonna do that? Who's gonna go find a Notary/Solictor to get 100$. Nobody gonna do it, these guys are huge scammers, nobody gonna make thousands off Microstakes. Put 20$ on, try to have some fun, then look at there withdrawl process, and realise, I just got ripped off.

****ing idiot scammers, setting up there site, to steal all this free microstakes money, and then wonder why there pop continues to drop.

Yep same here I joined I'm on voters role, I used a popular bank to deposit whodo own strict I'd checks then when after over £500 in stake money I decided withdraw $28 I got restricted and told photo id or no go, I live UK and UK does not require citizens to carry or produce photo id as matter of course. Also I can enter any uk casino gaming hall etc and stake win lose or draw to hearts content (or discontent), so now I can't Evan access account to download common documents which I dun 3 times. They literally cancelled my account so I figured being virtual casino I assumed etc for money laundering or fraud I should be given same consideration Asif I was in Victoria casino London so they have knowingly mislead me to deprive and that is feaud

The last point with a notary is used very rarely. This means your validation case requires it.

I had a bad experience with 888, I had the account for over 4 years, but it had been idle for over 1 year, so I decided to participate in a cardschat tournament and ended up winning, 23$ and I went to try to withdraw, they asked my identity, I sent it, and out of nowhere my account was banned, I still tried to solve it, I sent some other documents and nothing, in the end they asked for a passport that I don't have, I ended up leaving it aside...

I recently verified an account with 888. It took a long time, about two weeks. The fact is that it was required to confirm the address in English. And in my country all bills and receipts are either in Russian or Kazakh. I wrote to support many times, translated into English. Finally my account was approved. But notarization was not required. Two things were required: ID and a utility bill with an address.
