I agree with many that for me, the most interesting players that I see today in the world of online poker, are from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and brazil.
There are also many good players in other parts of the world, but mostly I see in these countries, the great quality of play that I believe exists.

In USA poker is part of their culture which together with the size of the country definitely helps to have many strong usa poker players. If they did not have so high taxes on the winnings from poker and so many limitations recently (especially since black friday) usa players would be crushing on all fronts. Thanks to low (or completely missing) taxes and regulation in some big countries like Brazil and Russia there are more and more good players from there. In europe poker is also gaining popularity so today i think that poker scene is more balanced than ever and the domination of usa as poker nation is less pronounced than ever. I personally do not care about the nationality of poker player - he is either good player or bad player and that is what is important for me.
