Is it true you tilt easier after a break.

During leisure, you need to collect all my thoughts together and to punish them all)

The first time I heard about this , tilt can be or no.. But it cannot easily be , it all depends on your control, patience and emotional balance....

I take a break after a bad series. If I do not then go from failure to failure.

Rest is good depending on the time, sometimes if one is very eager to play, it's good .if you are in good streak is not as good rest.

Abreak is atime to relive phycical needs and re-focus on the game. Take this time to review your table and the players. walk around the tables and look at the stacks.

The state of your nerves is the main factor in that, if you spent your break with something relaxing you tilt harder, if you have been out partying or working or such, you will tilt easier.

Whenever you tilt remember, god invented the low buyin freezout tourneys for a reason.

I think it all depends on the person. I personally feel refocused after a short break as long as its not too long. This might not be the same for other people however.

An example that kind of goes with this is Jarmoir Jagr in hockey. Man is 42 years old and still arguably the best player on his team. When asked if hes gonna take a break he said he doesn't need one. Breaks make him tired and he has to work hard everyday to stay focused.

No,

During a break any remaining tilt anger I accumulated will dissapear. I would love to have more breaks to do this, but I need to get in the volume to reach my goal for mid 2015.

After a long break I imagine you might lose a bit of your poker instinct, but that returns soon enough.

In my case it happened to me that i was playing better sleep, not long ago, playing omaha add quite reach, which then lost after a break, there are times when the dream takes me back ym notion of play something more aggressive when i rested my back the fear of losing.

I personally feel refocused most of the time. Alot of times people try to change there game plan after a break which could hurt you. Just stick with your guns !

I tend to agree 'tilt comes from the situation' and don't think I recall breaks causing me to tilt. Everyone is different, I suppose. :)

Seems like if I don't bust out right after the first break in a tournament, I will go deep. Tilt seems to be the worst for me right after a break...

I tilt less after a break, but I think everyone has their own personality, the best thing is you are aware of how you react so you know how to counteract bad habbits

If you play enough you will get bad beats happening, I am so used to it now I never tilt, I just muck and get on with the next hand.

You need to read the whole thread, the OP is not talking about the 5 min break during a game, he is talking about a break from poker.

As for me I always helps to get away from the tilt a little break.Since I mostly play online I put the game on a pass hands and go do yourself a green tea with honey or go for a little walk.

I'm surprised people tilt at all, if you have a bad beat then that's just poker if you've played the hand well and got your money in good there is not much else you can do. Accept you played it well and the other player got lucky and move on.

I think it's more about the person than whether it was before or after break.

I use the time to study on training sites, spend time on message boards, look over hand histories and think about why things went badly and why I have been on tilt. Then I would suggest that you put a plan of action together for yourself so that you come back stronger and more knowledgeable. I am reading a book called The Mental Game of Poker right now to help me deal with the tilt problem I experienced the last 4 months. I am also here instead of 2+2 to change things up. I am also going to be watching a lot of videos I downloaded when I was a member of a couple of the training sites. I am hoping to get back to the full time grind in Vegas next year a better player with more tools to support my direction forward.

It sometimes feels like i tilt alot easier after a break or when im playing less. And seems after a few days of grinding i turn into an emotionless robot and its alot harder to tilt me.:hmpf:

That,s exactly how i,m feeling about. So if you play hard without break it,s harder to do wrong things and go to tilt. But when you get a break, ofcourse sometimes you loose rhythm of the game.

Friends and I noticed that after the break card as though has changed the game simply is not going but after a while everything is getting better. I understood most importantly patience and wait for the rise of the game

Always think about variance.

If you come back from a break & still feel the pinch, tighten up & just run through it. Most times for me, it feels like Im getting picked on, but in reality its the variance that's biting me.

Maybe its the mind set. Being glued in for a long period of time then breaking concentration and trying to pick it back up may cause a chamge in play which could result in tilt. Nerves could come back? Depending on your position in the game and whats at stake could impact the way you come back off of a break.
