I don't think I would stop playing, if I won a large amount that would make me rich I would just reduce the number of games but for me I would never stop

I only play at a hobby level, so if I deposit 10 dollars and it goes up to 100, then I get used to buying it, or I rarely enter larger tournaments... but to quit poker for good, the minimum amount would be 50,000 dollars....

Playing poker is my hobby. It's good way to spent time with some fun and emotions which poker can give. That's why i'll never stop playing poker even if i win some big prize.

What amount of money would satisfy you to stop playing poker?
I would like my monthly income to be about 2-3 thousand dollars, then I would feel quite comfortable. Currently, my average monthly income is 500-700 dollars. But poker is another story, poker for me is entertainment, thanks to which I have money for beer for myself and my friends :)

I wouldn't stop playing poker if I won a lot of money, as it's still been an interest of mine for years. I don't use a lot of my own funds to play poker though.

I think it depends on the level at which one plays and the amount of money one puts at stake... In my case, I don't have money to deposit, I play only when I win a freeroll...

Even more than winning 1 Million dollars... I would like to one day be mentioned on the Top 10 CC Players list. Seems this year I didn't even make runner-up to the Top 10 picks :( I think if I could get there, that might be enough for me to quit the pokerzz. Until then I will continue to donate... err.. I mean 'play'

Even though I will win a million dollars, I don't think I'll stop playing poker, it's something I really like.
I like poker because I can win money, the strategy, the adrenaline of getting a final table, but there is something that poker also gives you, it is the opportunity to meet people from other countries, You can form a sincere friendship, learn about their problems, support each other. I have made friends who had babies, and now their children are 10 or 12 years old.

I remember that I had a Colombian friend, I met him maybe 10 years ago, we both played in partypoker and everestpoker, after a few years he got married, and he stopped playing poker, Recently he wrote to me again and I saw that he already had a daughter who was maybe 12 years old, and he said to me, hey, what about your life? you married? do you still play poker? Then he told me recently I started playing poker again and I won 5K in a tournament, do you want to play a $50 tournament?
I told him, yes, I still play poker, so we started talking about when we met, etc. But I thought it was funny that she still remembers me after all this time. Poker leaves us with friendships, as well as anger over bad Beats runner runner, even here in CC I have met very good people, and we always chat regularly.

I think that's why I will continue playing poker for a long time. :) ;)

What amount of money would satisfy you to stop playing poker?
Poker is not my main source of income. But, if we talk about the desired salary level that would suit me, then it would be $2000. Such a salary would be enough for me to live comfortably.

I don't think anyone starts playing poker hoping to win enough to quit.

I play poker purely for fun. Any tournament is like a personal challenge for me, I just try to be the first. The money I win, I value and spend on other buy-in tournaments and for fun with my friends. But since I work in the field of IT, I have a fairly good, well-paid job, poker remains for me exclusively entertainment in my spare time.

What amount of money would satisfy you to stop playing poker?
None.

I take poker as a daily job, a game that amuses me a lot and at the same time makes me earn money monthly.

The money is only good for me to level up. At 55 years old I want to get as high as I can in PLO, which is the modality I play.

Hopefully one day I can become an elite player.

Greetings

I think it really depends on the individual and their goals. For me, I enjoy playing poker more for the thrill and the challenge rather than just for the money. So, I don't think there's a specific amount that would make me stop playing. As long as I'm having fun and it's not negatively impacting other areas of my life, I'll probably keep playing.
If you're into trying out new ways to make money, I recently came across some real money games for cash App that pay money instantly. I tried them out and had a blast! It's a fun way to earn a bit of cash in your spare time.
