i ve tried for an year :)) .Is not easy ,first of all ,you must invest at least 1-5k ,and there should grow your bankrooll .Mine was ~100 $ and i ve only made ~1500 profit that year . So it require schedual ,money investment and a good diet & i didn t respect any of those =))

I wouldn't say it requires a good diet. I was never a pro but some of these guys just eat a normal not very good American diet and are fine.

I've been playing poker for about 10 years now and it's a lot of fun and a big part of my life, but I would never rely on it as my only income mechanism.

Is there anyone out there who does? And if so do you play both live and online and how much have you won in each?

I am a father of five who works 80 to 100 hours a week for a weekly income avg if nine hundred a week after taxes i played pro fessio aly when i 21 and did well playing live one two nl before i had a family but now i work miserably and when i get to the casino i do well i am going to take the chance to go pro again unfortunately i live in ct no internet poker here so i play live with a daily goal of five hundred dollars i do this with a series of taking breaks when im up at the tables rebuying with original buy ins and pocket my earnings never leaving a wholes days worth of winning hands at risk because its no limit you can only lose what you have on the table the biggest mistake i see is people play cash games like tournaments and sit there for hours hours till there stack is gone i take my profits when i have them and pocket them take breaks clear my head and start again putting in 12 hour days and grinding my money but its effective and seperates me from a gambler who leaves ecerything at risk with two simple words all in it comes down to playing tight agressive poker with the discipline to no your sliding and walk away with profits each time you sit down

Hello, I still do not try to earn my living with poker but if I wanted to do it, and I would not trust poker, I would rather rely on my ability because I think it's a good thing playing poker, and I hope at some point to live Of poker.

I've been playing live poker. But it was only a few times. I once won $ 100.

Not everyone can win and make money at poker, as A profitable hobby why not, if you have experience, right running head and a sufficient desire and time.

I'm trying to, but there's no telling when I profit enough from poker and have enough cash to open a business, maybe then I will try to do other thing, but for now stick to poker as main job.

The game of poker is not my main income. I'm still working. Poker for me as a pastime time. Money this is a side effect.

I have been playing since I quit my mechanic's job back in the late 90's. I just grind cash games all year round and use the wsop as my yearly holiday.

I'm entering what I hope is my 2nd year in a row of finishing the year up with a small profit. So while it's not my living, I have used some money for poker outside of poker and I hope to continue improving. I think my long term goal with poker is to at least have it as a side income. As of last year I'm probably up overall lifetime which I think for years of playing off and on would be something I'd never accomplish. Granted I can go negative a bit but even then it's all one big session so I'm optimistic the changes I've made to both my poker strategy and my mental game will continue to pay dividends.

But I think it's important to have a realistic goal and also the dream goals. So on my bucket list is to play in the WSOP ME at least once in my lifetime and also to make a few bucks on the side in my other poker endeavors.
