play poker you need in a good mood and sipping brandy on Sundays when there interestnye tournaments. but basically you need a good night's sleep and to be tuned to the game.

24:00 to 05:00 ET on any poker site because most of the best players live west and are asleep at these times.

The best time to play poker is when nobody bothers. wife and children sleep while you play.

When the little lemon slice appears next to the tournaments at Full Tilt, giving bonus FTP for happy hour, I find that a lot of weaker players like to come out and play.

Pre-black Friday, I'd like to look up the European players around 5-6PM ET. Used to be a lot of loose play.

If you're in China, why are you playing Carbon? Can't you play stars for Tilt?

Seeing as how i am no good at poker it doesn't matter when i log on because everyone else is better, lol but as a personal choice i always liked to come home from work, and after showering and getting comfy i like to sit down to a tourny or sit n go

Agree with more or less everybody that weekends and nights are best! Although it shouldn't stop you from playing at daytime, if your table selection is good (i'm talking about cashgames), than it doesn't really matter. Ofcours it helps when you have accounts at different sites, so you can cruise through them in your quest for fish.

I feel the best time to play is after midnight east coast time. It's the end of the heavy tourney schedule and usually there are plenty of tired people on.

You know what I've noticed playing live in casino's:

Best time to play in casino's (apart from which day) is in the beginning of the month. Because then a lot of recreational players just got their paycheck.

I noticed that a lot of players who often donate weren't around at the end of the month.

Pretty brutal, but the year and a half I played a lot of live poker, I really noticed this!

Maybe it applies also for online poker, but don't know.

I think that the weekend will be the nicest days of poker. When you're not worried about what not, and you can safely play and enjoy the game of poker.

I have no time to play, usually play all time..but if had to choose, it would be at night where they sleep and silence is my best company.

Noticed something strange how, ride in the CIS fifty turbo, on weekdays from 9.00 to 19.00 rushing just to cheer with the card. After this time, muffled in the tank - it is a good card falls on the hands but no coincidences, and pocket pairs generally fall rarely

Usually play when I'm well rested..likely in the mornings, if I don't have anything going on for that day or in the evenings, when I'm most relaxed. I have my favourite tourneys on a couple different sites, but only play when I know I have the time to devote to them.

I think that deppends of what kind of tournament you play or what kind of table.
For example if you play if you play in short limits you better do it on the afternoon if you want a nice amount of cash, but there are more people and you have to wait more.
At nights, youll find less people but less people it's equal to less cash of course. That depends of what kind of tournament.

As mentioned in other post... Way early mornings (im on PST) and love it about 12-1am-7am. By far though Monday's are the worst. Any other time though I can find someone to play against.
It might just be me but I believe the Russian players are very aggressive when they are on... Then UK starts logging on and its a totally different game. I love to see the cultural differences. Its amazing.

My opinion is that there is no specified good time to play.
We all have to adjust ourselves and be adaptive or we can play whenever we really want to play not just for killing time....
However its always nice to get lucky having drunk or steamed player at the tables :)
Here are some rules im trying to keep on when i play, and The time doesnt really matters what matters is this:
1.be well rested
2.be focused
3.if something distracts me i try to get it off
4.if you are angry at something not connected to poker before i sit at the table i just shut the pc down to prevent crazy stuff on the tables
Good luck at the tables!
