| How to play the nut flush draw in PLO I have played PLO almost exclusively for a couple of years now and have always got as much money as possible in post flop if I had the nut flush draw but the more PLO I play the less I like doing this. If you hit your flush on the turn it is so transparent that most of the time you dont win any more and if you dont make your flush on the turn and someone makes a pot sized bet you are faced with making a bad odds bet or folding. I would be interested to know how other people play these hands? |

| Too vauge Like Baudib1 said the question is a little too vauge, is it a loose game or a tight one, for example. Never slow play Nut flushes or Nut straights in PLO, nut flushes are great but can get drawn out on to FH's. You just have to be happy with the win post flop if you made your flush on the flop or turn and he folds to your bet, if the vilain stays, good you win most of the time. But, don't ever give him free cards to make a better hand. You really want him to be a dog with a bone on the 2nd nut flush or chasing the FH with 2 pair. |

I mean, the fact that people still think this way in PLO amazes me. Free cards are good. Letting people chase is good sometimes. Also slowplaying is not a bad thing but again, you need to balance your range properly. |

I go Farha style and shove when +EV, when at, say, 53%? So anyway ya the OP is too vague, nut Fl draw and what else? What other draws and potential redraws on board? These all figure along with other elements mentioned above, SS, position, and so on... Last edited by Makwa : 1st November 2011 at 11:45 PM. |

| re: How to play the nut flush draw in PLO poker You have the nuts but can't make a better hand, you are going to let someone take a shot on drawing out on you for free? So they don't hit and fold with no additional equity for you, or they do hit and you loose. I can't see ever letting someone off cheap unless you are way ahead. |

1) when we flop a flush or turn a flush. it is not super obvious 2) we disguise our hand because we dont instantly mash pot 3) if they hit, we lose less money and are less committed. 4) if we are not betting non flush hands on flush boards it makes it hard for us to bet it because our range is 100% flush. |
