NBC Heads Up Qualifiers [Full Tilt Poker] I've found entertaining Heads Up Shootout competitions at FullTilt ... Try them out. You could even pick up a nice piece of change if you make it through to the major tournament (Televised Heads Up Championship). (Located at "Play Money" Sit and Go table.)

Heads-Up Practice grounds... Yeah, this is a great satellite tournament to the NBC's NATIONAL HEADS-UP CHAMPIONSHIP.... but it's going to be nearly impossible to win it... so, I see it more as a practice ground... for my real cash heads-up games... work on your game, and feel out some of the players early on... I love Heads-Up... you got to stay on top of your game all of the time... one mistake could cost you the game... and the only one to blame here is yourself...

re: NBC Heads Up Qualifiers [Full Tilt Poker] I just did this tourney.... took me about 2 hours to get down to the final 8.... I took down my last guy, with an all in... and catch my straight on the river.... but I eventually got knocked out in 4th place I have a straight and the other guy got lucky and made a full house....

Yeah, you kind of have to be fast like the .COM PAD tourneys.. but it doesn't go quite as quick as they do. It fills up in about 5 seconds, as opposed to the 2 seconds that the .COM PAD tourneys take to fill up. 1 hour and 45 minutes into the heads up tourney.. just made it to the final 8.

Finished at 8th place.. was the first to be out in the Top 8. Had K/3 on the BB. Villain called SB, I checked. 6/K/6 came out. He ended up having a 5/6 with betting all through the river. I put him all-in, which left me with 60 chips at the end of the hand. I won 3 hands in a row to start my comeback, but then lost the 4th one.

These tournies are not as fast to register as ANTONIUS 180 man tournies but they fill up quickly..For some reason..I just love playing heads up and it really helps me practice my poker game..Play them and you'll understand..They pop up every 5 minutes so be alert and have fun..Maybe try and learn something too..Take Care Ray

re: NBC Heads Up Qualifiers [Full Tilt Poker] Great job to those who've advanced to Round 2! Hopefully, I'll be joining you guys eventually! The best finish for me so far has been 7th place. It seems like it takes 2+ hours to get to the top 10. The registration is similar to PAD series in that it's every 3+ minutes but doesn't fill up as quickly (thankfully!) BTW, if you advance to Round 2, does that prevent you from playing Round 1 or can you still play? Basically, I want to know if you can accumulate the tickets to Round 2.

Hey Bill, Chin up I've had the same thing happend to me last year for the WSOP Main Event seat at UB I won 3 qualifying tournies to get to the Final one they were giving away 12 seats and I was in solid position with about 18 players left blinds were getting very big and I had pocket Aces and a fairly short stack player shoves all in preflop and I called him and he had mid pocket pair of course he caught on the river to save himself and it crippled my stack I couldnt survive the blinds and I hit a bad steak even if i got in with best hand I would lose. I went out 14th it was sooooo painful. GL and I hope ya get another shot at a major event! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeetest
