This isn't directly poker related but tonight I visited the Grosvenor Casino in my new home, Manchester, for the first time. I'm also now a member.

So first of all I checked out their computer roulette machines and slots but I wasn't really impressed, kinda bored me. So I headed over to the blackjack tables which I spent most of my time at during the night. I built up a decent stack (after going down to near-nothing at one point), and eventually
bet all my chips (~£25) on one hand and low and behold, I won.

Earlier in the night I had pushed about £30 into one hand and actually hit blackjack (which would have paid ~£70) and I started celebrating... only to see the dealer hit blackjack too so I won nothing :p

Soo.... back to the story, I was feeling like a bit of a daredevil and took all of my chips (£50) and went crazy allin on black to win on (live, real) roulette and it came in :)

So mr happy Nick went home with £100.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip there (especially because all my buddies ended up -£50 ;)) and will be visited next week to play in my first large live poker tournament, a £20 rebuy.

P.S I'm now a total live-(blackjack-)gamblerholic

Nick, it's only a gambling problem if you're losing. I read that somewhere before. Oh yeah, down below in my sig. LOL.

There weren't many Poker tables. One three card stud table I think.

There was a MTT going on at the same time though, £10 rebuy I think.

If you're a smart player, you can come out on top though. Blackjack used to be my game of choice, before I discovered the joys of poker. So now, blackjack bores me...:p

Good on ya Nick, nice job!

I can't believe you put it on black... Red rules! IMO you got VERY lucky there.
