| My bankroll progress This is more a thing for myself, to track my bankroll progress - I've been stepping up the limits lately and want to track how I do. Kinda like a blog type thingy but more for myself to track my winnings. (for those who don't know, i've built my BR from an $11 cardschat freeroll cashing, and am trying to bring it up to as much as I can before i withdraw some of it soon) No need to reply, and i hope noone sees this as an ego thing I just want to be able to look back and see what i can improve upon. | 05/03/06 Bankroll: 1746.30 Continued my play at $2/$4 and through some bad beats (one very irritating one AA vs 75 preflop all in - immediately added to buddy list) I made some tough calls with weak top pairs that put me ahead today. Reached my goal of 2K! Profit: +355.20 Bankroll: 2091.83 Last edited by ChuckTs : 3rd May 2006 at 11:20 PM. |

| Wow! Pretty impressive, Chuck! What is your secret? Simply. The reason I ask is that I am in the opposite situation. I started with a reasonable bankroll and am down to 25% of it left (too embarrassed to say the numbers). As a beginner, I was down to 10% of it left. Then I studied a bit and got it back up to 80% and was feeling good. Then I had a bad streak and dropped back down to 20% and have recovered to 25%. At first, I blamed Stars & Titan for some unreal cards (I play FTP & Party now). But now I think it might be me. I'm open for a tip regarding your success. |

| no tips; i don't do anything special aside from playing way too much i pick out the fish, and stay out of pots with the sharks when i have to play a pot with a shark, i decide that i'm going to get lucky I usually play 10 handed, and the top 10 hand theory worked perfectly there, but shorthanded has been pretty tough for me... Lots of swings and i expect lots more, hopefully in the +ve direction. The s/h tables are all board-representation and taking down the little pots....gets very tough at times Last edited by ChuckTs : 4th May 2006 at 3:48 AM. |

| 05/04/06 Bankroll: 2091.83 Played 2/4 shorthanded again today (1 table this time) and sitting directly to my left was a college monkey who really seemed to want to give his chips away. I played this hand and here was the chat from after my turn check-raise: Villain:"I know you have a set...nh" (after river comes) Me:"then why you pushin? lol" V:"I don't care" M:"fine by me " Don't ya just love it? He stacked off knowing he was well behind My session was really short....not bad for 1/2hr's work eh? Profit: +187.31 Bankroll: 2279.14 |

| If there were a few more retards like that on pokerstars I would have 4 times the roll I have now. Unfortunately I was the monkey for about a week and lost 70% of my bankroll. I'm almost back though, a few more wins at the SNGs and I will be right there. Last 4 SNGs were 1st, 4th, 4th and 1st. The two 4th finishes were plain stupidity as I was getting too aggressive and then finding myself short stacked. Keep up the great work Chuck - this is really interesting to watch someone that has had this much success from a $11 freeroll. Amazing. Someone posted a podcast with Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson on how he made $1 into over $20,000 online, sounds quite familiar to your story so far!!! |

I spoke to Titan a while ago and asked them what the requirements were for withdrawing FR winnings. On ipoker you have to accumulate 1500 FPPs on their tables, and then you can withdraw. The only problem is that they have a little trick with Neteller. In order to withdraw through neteller, you have to have made a deposit via the same method (little buggers always find a way) I think you can withdraw through other methods without having to deposit, but i'm not sure. The same FPP rule also applies for the rest of the withdraw methods. |

| Hey Chuck, how long ago did you win the $11 on the freeroll that started this very impressive bank roll for you? I am just curious as to how long it takes to build up that much money from a small startnig amount as I only deposited the minimum amount a few months ago on Stars and I am trying to build that up going through the lower limits and working my way up. |

| dont remember exactly, but my guess is about a year ago? plus or minus 2 months i think. The toughest part for me was breaking the 200 or 300 mark...don't know why - maybe it was a bad streak, or maybe the limits' variance just got to me, but it took me a while to break through 300. I think i was at 400 a month back, so the higher limits have really boosted my roll up |

| Its an inspirational tale Chuck. If I can get my BR up to a couple grand in about a year I would be pleased. I started with $25 though so I guess I will have to do it in six months to keep pace with you! Quote:

| re: My bankroll progress poker Bankroll: 2279.14 more 2/4 s/h NLHE: I think i'm still tilting a little from last nights live game losses... This is one situation i hate unless of course i get a big bet in front of me: First hand i sit down at a ring game, i get a big PP in the BB...this time i got KK and was faced with an utg minraise - no reads on the player. I reraise and he calls. Flop comes with an Ace, but as i always do i lead out on the flop. he calls so i'm thinking AT/AJ type hand? Might be stronger but he would probably raise me. I check the turn and he checks behind me. Turns out the river brought a 4-to a wheel and he had 55 to complete it... It ruins my table image when first hand i raise PF and bet softly on the board, which is something i try to establish from the moment i sit down - i'll fold a min raise to my BB with KQ and AT type hands just to show how tight i am so that they respect my raises later... Anyways i played pretty poorly, tilted a little and lost a bunch today... Push-up time!! Profit: -251.60 Bankroll: 2049.74 |

| 05/05/06 Part II Bankroll: 2049.74 Came back to the 2/4 and played on tilt for the first while, then slowly built my stack back up from 1/4 of my original buy-in to almost doubling it One noteable hand was where i hit a 2pr with A7 with a guy drawing and he stacked off for about 180 I think i'm done for the day; coming back from a deficit always puts a smile on my face Profit: +331.30 Bankroll: 2381.04 |

| 05/06/06 Bankroll: 2381.04 Again at 2/4 i played pretty well and was up a few hundred, when i got my JJ beat by TT when he hit his set. I was making alot of preflop raises and continuation bets on the flop, and i think the players noticed the pattern. When i followed up my PF raise with the JJ on a ten high board, he check raised me. I put him on AT and figured i was ahead and stacked him off. Doh! Anyways i fought back to bring back that 400 or 300 I lost and almost broke even...til i realized the beer store's gonna close soon! gotta run! Profit: -141.10 Bankroll: 2239.94 |

| 05/07/06 Bankroll: 2239.94 2/4 again, and i played a pretty solid game today, aswell as got some luck on my side (see AA vs 55 thread). There were only 2 hands that i entered that i didn't take down, and i made some good calls on scary boards with villain making good bluffs. Up a bit today, but those two hands that i didn't take down really ate into my stack; at one point i had doubled my buyin. Profit: +173.70 Bankroll: 2414.64 |

| Very nice playing Chuck. Keep it up. I've been following this daily but haven't let you know yet. I've seen that you have been saying that you are (tilting) a bit much. You have to keep this in check. When I lose a big hand, the next hand I let the timer run all the way down. Whether I am going to call or fold. While it is running down I try and calm myself down. You could even do it for two hands. Remember you are at your best when you are not tilting!! Quote:
