How has PokerStars Aurora Graphics affected me?

I can still play there and I agree with @toots babos , it's very annoying the non flashing task bar. I haven't encountered any other major issues to be honest. The older graphics were lighter - I am a laptop user-.
But I am very upset that they eliminate such options(revert to the original graphics) , they don't take so serious their users at all in many ways!

I noticed when I play MTT with a lot of tables, I don't notice any braking.But when I play SNG, then there is a braking............

in case anyone wonder, this work around above still works with yesterdays update
but still, we have to repeat the deleting imgcache process every time we restart PS App again

It doesn't work anymore - the graphics are just too much for my laptop unfortunately to run more than one table at a time. The other thing I find is that when I sign up to a game, I end up getting sat out a hand or two while it loads up my table.

I really hate that they did this - it leaves a LOT of people behind.

Awful, I removed almost any animation, but I still don't like it, the cards are hardly distinguishable from each other

I basically had to change the laptop I was using because of performance issues and crashing with Aurora. I originally turned it off and new that was the culprit. It is surprising it needs higher graphics and so much more CPU for what the overall effect is.

There's quite a large thread over on another forum where a bunch of members are discussing this same issue. It seems all of them are also no longer able to 'delete files' and use the older software.

Here i thought i had problems
I have uninstalled PS many times and after re-installing i initially get the old format which i perfer but as soon as i enter a new game it changes back to aurora

Font text is to thin on Aurora. On the old themes, the table appearence was way better, the color of the back of the cards (seeing better which opponents are still in play, usefull in multitabling).

Aurora has just some faded colors, very thin font of the stack-numbers.

The old theme Mercury had the option to put custom colors in a big range of colors, like in the Windows-Paint program.

In Aurora, this option dissapeared.

Of course, not to mention that PC is going worse since Aurora was implemented. :thumpdown

They really should give an option to use the old graphics, otherwise, this site became a garbage.

there are problems, now you can see the notes when you play several tables! and it became hard for the computer, there is a lag inhibition, in general, I do not like it!

Good morning mate.I already voted on your survey.Well , in my case,I don´t like that Aurora engine at all.I can play on Stars , at least , 2 tables, but my problem starts when I want to multi table in other sites,specially on 888.For example, I had the CC weekly freeroll on Stars while on 888 the $1000 Casino Mix Up and the Level 40 freerolls at the same time.On Stars,I could play normally but on 888 my tables got frozenIt was really annoying.Thanks for everything and I hope more members will participate on your survey.

Have you folks sent emails to Pokerstars support? I realize that Customer support really does not do much for the players at all these days but perhaps if they had a very large influx of emails from disgruntled customers they'd consider doing something about it??? If you haven't, PLEASE send them an email telling them what you think of Aurora.

Personally I have been sending in 1 email per week & am planning to keep doing this for awhile. I don't take their responses personally (ie. like when they suggest I am going to like it so much more and that they're doing it for my enjoyment). < we know this is false.
I respond to them anyways, letting them know that this is FALSE and that I REALLY do not like it. And because it makes playing more difficult, I am limiting my play on Pokerstars and am increasing my play on other sites. (fortunately for me it hasn't affected my computer so much that it has negative consequences for me while playing on other sites because if it does, I will stop playing on Stars).

I actually went out & purchased a GPU (graphics card) for my computer this week. I did so because I'm planning on picking up a new monitor and am changing my current setup. It's just lucky that it might make playing on Stars go a bit smoother for me now but this isn't something I would ever want to do just to be able to play on their site & I'm lucky that I can afford to get one right now (other times I wouldn't have been able to afford it).
I'm a bit concerned though because I heard that one member is still having problems on Stars even while using an i7 CPU with a GTX 1660Ti GPU
(I'm using i54670 with MSI GTX 1060 6GB GPU).

online poker has always typically only needed minimal computing power. An i3 with 4GB Ram was more than good enough to run many tables off of multiple sites at the same time without any difficulty at all. Not anymore

Blinking between zoom hands when using a non default background because some amateur has done it so that the default background is applied first and then replaced with the one you chose from the options. Luckily I found a way to use old graphics that still works. It just takes a little time every day. Unfortunately it has to be a secret how because they might shove the new shit down my throat if they know how I use the old graphics.

Do you send emails to Pokerstars customer support, telling them how you feel about it? Or how about comment on social media (this might get their attention). Personally I've been doing both. (tbh, it's actually doing them a favor to let them know how much this is negatively affecting so many customers. Maybe we'd be better off not telling them anything and just limiting our play on there??)

Sure easy to send a message, but I am sure some employees at Pokerstars read Pokerforums and Twitter, so they will be aware of all the complaints. Last time I checked there were hundreds of complaints....

Me too. Size too small. 4 color deck not attractive color and litle card numbers.
I am only playing freerolls and do not liking.
I send 3 email to them with a lot of suggestions to improve the game for people with low vision like me.

starting stars client from start menu or desktop seems to be a big no no for now if we want to play w/ the "outdated' stars client.
until now i can still dodge the new client update, but i believe its not going to stay that way.
suggestion to revert back to the old client already sent via email, i doubt that stars gonna follow through - but one can only hope :icon_sant

Let throw in my 2 cents. When I rail on pokerstars for my teammates I have no problems. But when I play on my day in the league, when I leave PS I have to completely restart my computer. It slows my computer down so much I can't play other games on other sites or even browse the internet. Wat up w/ dat !!
