Hi, I know it has probably been beat to death with a stick by now but...

I just started playing on GGPoker and my win-rate from GGPoker and pokerstars are so different. As soon as I start to win some money on GGP I start running into suck outs.

The money goes in and some Bingo Player is in the Pot and he takes it down (lol) I know any 2 cards can win a Poker Hand. I tried it twice and both times I have come up with the same result.

I know there are winning poker players on GGP. Maybe it is just me being paranoid - I have looked online and read some stuff being action rigged - But that could just be a random spot a player just decided to post up - It is not the whole story.

I don't know but my gut is telling me it is weird. Something just doesn't feel right. I know it is just not me I see it at the poker Tables that is not just happening to me but to others as well.

Yesterday I had KQ suited in the Big Blind - But I folded it because I knew something crazy was going to happen if I played that hand. I flopped a Straight - The pot would've been a 3-way All in on the Flop - I would've went in with a flopped straight and there was a Set and 2-Pair - Full House over Full House and my losing straight.

This is just one occasion - At times I think something is going to happen here when I am not in the Pot and the cards are turned over I starting thinking that - this other player is going to runner some crazy back door draw.

I pulled out all my money from that site and just left in my Bonus Money I had gotten. I managed to double it and then lost almost what I had doubled.

I think it is just me though - People do get run outs that's Poker - But when ya start calling it and getting it right when the cards are flipped over who's going to win the hand.

I don't know man - lol ???

I think I am just being paranoid :)

Several times I have noticed that GG poker is completely different from other poker sites
they are allowed to win, but funny combinations are mixed together with funny players

GGpoker does not even ban Russians and Belarusians, this means that everything is allowed there, including ... (everyone can choose their own version)

The keyword is here: "just started". In order to just somewhat overcome variance, you need to play at least 100.000 hands in cash games and even more in tournaments. Check out the free variance calculators at Pokerdope.com to learn about variance in poker. Its very common to underestimate this.

Have you never rolled a dice twice and have it land on a 6 both times?

Which again does not prove anything other than "shit happens", and that a bad decision can sometimes work in your favour.

Not quite sure why a site operating in any particular market is the same as "anything being allowed?" We might disagree with their decision to still operate in these two countries, and in that case we are free to not play there, if its a deal breaker to us. But this does not mean, its reasonable to claim, the site is rigged, or that all sorts of cheating is allowed or accepted. And just for the record belarussians are also allowed to play on PokerStars, and both belarussians and russians on ACR Poker. So if this is unacceptable to you, the list of sites, where you can play, is pretty short.

Well I am not going to get into this whole debate over shyt happens - I know any 2 cards can win a poker hand - but when you start calling something and you fold because of it - and what you just called was right - something was going to happen in this hand and all the money starts going in on the flop.

This is why I don't really like going on forums anymore - I just asked a simple question about a site and if anybody noticed anything about it.

Anyway I have better things to do about debating about if a site is rigged or not

I just started at GGPoker a few days ago. In my opinion (as a micro player) at the mystery games for .25, too much gadgetry.
Then I found a slot in casino that I liked and played quite a bit but; I keep on disconnecting just about every hand of poker I play and every time I hit the bet button on the slot on top of getting free games I disconnect constantly.
I don't know how to get customer service. And I am fed up with them already.
PokerStars is still the best place to play in my opinion, even though I am still trying to get my bonuses to work in the casino.

That kqs fold in the BB was most likely a pretty bad fold im the long run if this was only a single raised pot.

Only because u were right this exact time because u "knew something crazy is going to happen" does not mean anything. It was just pure coincidence that "something crazy actually really happened."

Which kind of proves fundivers point that u should read about variance and samplesize. U can add personal bias to that.

Personal experience is no valid data of course.
But I won 10 times more at GG than I ever won at PS or any other room

And when you compare it with other rooms, let's say you play 100 hands at GG, PS and 888.
The result will be nothing out of the ordinary and maybe you will realize you're only bitching about simple RNG 😉

Clue is... you probably should not play the same everywhere?

I would believe that! With such an overwhelming number of players, there are schools of fishes & droves of donkeys! Have started playing more in GG & have been feeling the difference. Sure u get a lot more bad beats but 'aint it a farm to grow a bankroll! If you're adept with the gameplay & adjust accordingly then u can thrive! Just remember to calibrate your game when playing the CC league where the sharks abound! I just wish I have the time to grind nowadays.

Be open-minded. The way to improve is learning from others if you cannot learn it by yourself. The comments of @fundiver199 are on point. Shame on him for not sugar-coating it for your taste. ROFL.

Don't get discouraged with this theory. Some could get the vibes with much lesser hands played. Good luck.

Yes absolutely agreeing to all of this., If you're disciplined with BR management you can grow a br real fast there .
Yesterday I made out of the freebie 2.5 and cause I don't give a damn about this changing money (and bc the field is weak)
I played a 1$ mystery battle royale and turned this to 15$ with the bounties and 1st finish.
You See what Im getting at...

I am however still unsatisfied with my avg ft finish :p

Personal experience is valid data, but only if it is based on significant samples. The issue for OP and many others is, they begin to draw conclusions waaay to early, when their results are completely dominated by meaningless short term variance. What I would advice instead, whenever people want to try new games, is to simply pay attention to, if the games are good or not.

There is an old saying "if you cant identify the fish within 1-2 orbits, you are likely the fish". And this is very much true. If you are already an established winning player in some games, and you can see people making big obvious mistakes in a new game, you want to try, then chances are, you are also going to be a winner in that game. And this is true both, when we want to try a new site, when we want to try a new game on the same site, or maybe we just want to move up.

If we cant identify significant mistakes, which other players make on a regular basis, then chances are, we are not going to be able to beat that game. So either we need to move back to games, that are softer. Or we need to study and improve, so we can identify mistakes, that are less obvious, and that maybe we are also making ourselfes, because we do not know any better ;)

Yeah for a live game thats the 1-2 orbits, I was talking about. At least with something like 7-9 players at the table.

Life is more rigged than any poker site.
We all get a start in life against incredible odds. That one sperm that became you won the swimming contest against millions of others. But later you find out that it all ends in death.

Do you play cash games or tournaments?
GG is really famous nowadays for its tournaments. It's the best site for online poker Tournaments.

For cash games, here are my two cents.

You don't have to worry about its integrity. It's not rigged. It is very legit, and it's the number 1 Poker Site in the world now.
If it's rigged, then Poker Communities would have known this in the first place.

I played on GG for several months. Although my results were not good, I believe it was due to the Random Number Generator and several other factors. Compared to PS, my results were far better. I'm also starting to play on other sites, like ACR and Winamax now to gain more experience on different sites.

After playing on several sites, one thing that stood out about GG was the players. Regarding the rake, I believe most poker sites now have the same percentage.

This is just my opinion, but I think GG is tougher than PS and any other sites 🤣🤣 (it's kind of the opposite of the information out there on the internet). GG provides a lot of promotions, like cash dollars, GG Cares, a daily leaderboard, high rakeback programs, etc., and it triggers players to play super aggressively.
I don't think other sites offer such a thing; therefore, there's no incentive to be hyper-aggressive. On other sites, players are playing to win. On GG they play to chase the promotion (hamsters wheel).

So, for cash games, I don't think GG is a profitable site in the long run, even for a micro-stakes level. Since it's a very tough site, the only way to win is through rakeback and promotion.

My opinion above is based on my personal experience of about 7-8 months playing there. After reviewing it, I realized that the kinds of fish that play on other sites like PS and GG are very different. On GG, mostly maniac; therefore, the variance would be really high. Table selection will only do so far if most players are insanely aggressive.

Here's my result on GG and PS, for most of the time I played on both sites simultaneously, and the volumes were roughly the same.

1715971733849

And this is on poker stars:
1715971788363

Again, this is just my personal experience playing on both sites, and most of the time, I played side by side simultaneously.

So, my conclusion (maybe also for you and others) is that GG Poker is not rigged. It's just me who couldn't beat the game there. Therefore, I prefer to play somewhere else where I have an edge. I stopped playing on GG for about a month now. There is less stress, and my bankroll is improving 🤣. There is no more hamster wheel (chasing rake back, GG care, daily board, etc.).

But if you focus on learning and playing a tough game, then playing cash games on GG is very encouraged. But for me, I would like to build my bankroll and save the stress later on, which is a higher stake.
