Thanks for the detailed run down but I think I'll give it a miss, for now at any rate. I don't particularly like playing on party poker but my wallet does. Taking off money a bit at a time but if and when I build a big bankroll I will consider playing pokerstars again, which easily has the widest variety of games, including my favourites.See screenshot below of all availabe games on GG. Yes, this is the largest poker site in terms of players, you can't argue, but there are almost no free freeroll games so if you want to play there, you will have to invest and play, and yes, there are players from all over the world so one tournament will have a lot of players and they will do things you haven't seen: Roflmao:

I suggest you try GG... They have 1000 times better freerolls than PP.
Also you should join the Reddit Channel of GGPOKER. It will make you eligible for their league starting on 18th April. (Only with account verification)

I was so fed up with PokerStars that I went to the Apple Store again to get help to make my account work properly.
Second technician. It did not happened.
So I said please help me open an account at GG's and I made my first deposit. I got the equal deposit bonus.
Not too sure how it works. I was hoping to find HORSE and 8 Game? But any information you have is really helpful to me.

There are no Horse and 8 Game available on GG afaik.

GG Poker is HUGE! And the daily ticket plus the almost daily private freeriolls make it a great place to play.... That said, it's my least favourite poker room for 3 main reasons....
1. There is something really sketchy about this software. I find that you will have moments where no matter what you have you will win consistently and then at other times you will lose consistently. Another thing I think I see alot is that the high stack will win showdowns most of the time.... You will get sucked out on the river quite often if you are the low stack.... But if you fold you will find you miss out on hitting the best hand... I may be paranoid but that's a very weird site.
2. The software is ridiculously heavy on CPU and Network! It's so bad that if you have a slightly slow network, the game will constantly kick you out and reload while the rest of your internet Apps work fine. Takes a good half minute or more to get you back in. By then you've probably missed a number of blinds. The amount of money I lost because of this alone is outrageous!
3. You will not be able to make a payout without first making a deposit. This may seem like the usual policy but both ACR and WPT Global have paid me out prior to me making my first deposit and that was really impressive. But because of reasons 1 and 2 I will never ever deposit to GG Poker... it's a sketchy site to say the least.

It is the goal of all advert to say that their client are the best.
Been a while since I played on GG. One thing I remember is thei software was too much laggy for my computer so I was not able to have fun playing there. And if my memory is ok, no way to stop the application to steal focus over all other opened application on my computer.

That article only compare 2 specific games (50NL cash and 100NL cash) and 3 different sites, and in one of those games PokerStars charges the smallest percentage of rake. So its massively incorrect to make such a general statement as "GG Poker charges the smallest percentage of rake". Do they really? For MTTs the rake is pretty much the same on all sites, except that PokerStars charge a bit more up to $15 games. And for Spin n Gos the rake on GG Poker is one of the highest in the business, if I am not mistaken?
Yes that is your very subjective opinion. In my just as subjective opinion GG Poker is a shitty site. I have this opinion, because I have never played there. And that is the thing with opinions. They are just like assholes. Everyone has one. Which is the reason, its much better to focus on things, that are just a little bit objective rather than just stating "opinions". And especially if those "opinions" are presenting outright misleading information, which makes them look more like hidden advertisement

Need to correct myself a little here. On GG Poker a $50 MTT is $46 + $4, which amount to 8,0% rake. Whereas on most either sites you would either play a $44 MTT, which is $40 + $4 or a $55 MTT, which is $50 + $5, both of which is 9,1% rake. So for MTTs GG Poker does actually charge a bit less, which is of course good

Rake is higher on GG for cash games than most other sites, partly as they rake preflop 3bet pots. Just have a look on primedope, e.g. 50NL 9max, 8.48bb/100 v 6.95 for pokerstars. An extra 1.5bb/100 is alot!
Not sure how rakeback compares, which would need to be factored in too.

In fairness such BB/100 numbers depends on, how the games play, so they are a bit difficult to compare across sites. Maybe the 50NL full ring games on PokerStars are a nit-fest, and this is why, people pay less rake on average. But even so its probably true, that GG Poker is on the expensive side for cash games due to the fact, they also rake pots, that ended preflop.
