Im playing my first ever package this weekend where I've sold 50% action

GL everyone in September!

Goals:

- Play some Doller Dazzlers (only thing I'm rolled for)

- Maybe play some 45-man SNGs

- Bink the 100k on Merge this Sunday (have a $109 ticket) for $20,000.

I'm jumping ship for now to cash games -- experimenting with a HUD, and makes so much more sense to me there for now than in a tournament structure.

6 live tournaments in August, 1 2nd place was my only cash, made 1 other final table, -$56. Still in the top25 in WSOP ME tournament points though which is good since I miss so many tournaments each month. Local card club has 4 tournaments a week and earn points for final tabling. In June there is a WSOP ME satellite that top 63 players compete for a ME seat, last year the prize pool was $31K.

8 live ring game sessions, not a single winning session, -$1263 , If I could have avoided 2-4 outters on 5 hands I would have been +$3K for the month, ah well such is variance.

Gonna miss a week+ in Sept. due to vacation so volume will be much reduced but I am looking forward to a short break.

Two months in a row I have started the month ok, only to crash just before the finnish line.
Time for a change this month.

I played one yesterday, got horribly donked out by a donk.

Hi folks, I'm back!
Playing cash for a few weeks seems to have improved my early tournament game. Letting marginal hands go, c-betting plenty, and playing position. I'm finding I need about 40 hands on a player for their HUD stats to start to stabilize, but those are coming in handy as well.
It's been a good reminder that there is always more to learn, and room to improve.
Gonna try to grind some 5-table turbos tonight, if there is enough traffic...

Last time CJ start the thread was in May. He was MIA after BF. Just come from time to time to say Hi.

Goals for the month is to not play any more donkaments and focus on cash. Only game allowed is the 210fpps for the Sunday Storm to get $11T, 1/1 this month.

2nd in 180 yesterday and today!

I've got ~20 on my list to play in today (8 of them are priv. mtt). Might add in a few more.. or few less. Depends on how I'm doing/feeling. Might drop a few & add a couple $100+ .... heading to McD's for some breakfast, reboot the modem & then get into manic mode & start playing.

Sunday's I seem to typically run bad.... here's hoping it's different today.

cuz there's kind of a perverse addiction to building a stack, going pretty deep & then going busto to a donking?? (I don't know... I haven't figured it out yet myself). It is kinda fun though when you're running to the washroom then grabbing another coffee on 6th break, while occassionally glancing at the payouts.
The wind down after gettin' KO'd kinda sucks though

playing my second session of the month, no monitor or student loan but excited to get back grinding again!

if anyone wants to do a sweat session this week talk to me on Skype and we'll organize one, I need to get back into the right mind set

Cant complain though. Had a good run leading up to that.

Took 3rd in the clubs Double Points tournament today. $60 + $20 for a LPS side bet and took down $328 +$70 LPS chop + $75 for a surprise player bounty. Went out when TT lost to 99 to drop me to 5BB and then A8<QT.

played 150 tournaments saturday and got a 5th, 3 8ths, one 9th, a 10th and 2 13ths... /whine

then managed to win the party poker $11 $5k yesterday and had a couple of little scores so basically broke even over two days

Wow 150 tourneys in one day! U must have been pretty buzy.

ja it was pretty crazy, went nuts and regged 12 hours...

going to cut down on table count in october, drop down to ~15 tables, cut out bottom of buy in range and really small fields, try and focus and get back to improving my game rather than pumping out tons of volume

If my memory isn’t wrong, I’ve finished 3rd, 2nd, 2nd in three of my last four CC Merge free rolls, but I feel disappointed, as in all three, I went in behind on the final hand.

I didn’t close the deal when I was near the top prize. I need to improve my shorthanded/HU game.
