Not sure that I fully understand what ur asking here? How long do you think you will remain unknown at a table? If u sit down at a table of value rest assure that someone has put a beam on you and is looking for some stats on u.

It can depend on various factors and combinations thereof. It's not difficult at all to create scenarios where it's advantageous to be known or not. For example, it can be advantageous to be known if you're up against opponents who will come after you recklessly. , but disadvantageous against those who will shy away from entering pots with you and thus make it more difficult to get their chips or money.

I thought about this a little, if you go into a cardroom for the first time you are an unknown. Most of the players should be regs and know each others style, they will probably pull every trick in their aresonal to gage your ability. This could be advantegous for you at first but once they see how you play they will adjust their game.

re: Advantage Being UnKnown poker a few months ago i was playing at a cash table and somone sat at the table who had just got back from the european poker tour where they had won a fair bit. we all knew about this guy before he sat down and stayed out of his way more than we should have. a few weeks later i was playing at another venue and this guys sat down again. i played cautiously against him again, staying out of his way a bit, then started noticing how bad he was. not just bad but terrible. at the end of the night after avoiding him, I asked him if he was going back to europe next year. he told me he had never been to europe but was hoping to go one day. seems like his image was based on a story about him, not reality. am hoping to play against him again soon
