| scumbags Have you ever noticed how every single poker site has higher withdrawal limits than deposit limits--sometimes four or five times as high? The idea is to make it easy for people to deposit but hard for them to get their money out if they realize poker isn't their game. Or to trap odd amounts of money in a poker account so that the poker site earns bank interest on it and not the player. It's a scumbag practice. I know some people think everything is okay as long as it's done in the name of doing private business, but I'm not one of them. Business practices CAN be unethical and this one is. And then there's the restriction where you have to make a deposit using a particular method in order to use that method to withdraw funds. Another scumbag practice. Not to mention the morons at MasterCard who don't permit withdrawals to a MasterCard even when it's a prepaid card and it's perfectly lawful for a Canadian to receive funds credits to it. Just p***ed off that I have $120 tied up on two poker sites I no longer want to play and can't get my money out without putting MORE money in--and risking having the sites play hide the salami with that money as well. |

| Lol one of the sites my money is buried alive in IS full tilt. I've tried to transfer to a friend several times but the transfer gets declined every time. I've spent the past four days emailing Full Tilt lack-of-support about it and have yet to receive a response. I HATE that f***ing site. |

| I have over $200 bucks on a poker site and and the minimum withdrawal is $500, so like you say, do you send money to chase possible bad money. Then they have 10 different poker sites on the same network. What's wrong with this picture. I liked one of my sites that folded into the other, at least I don't have to drain one of my poker sites any longer. |

| It's kind of funny. Before I even started playing online I asked around, among friends, to get a sense of the best sites and what I would be getting myself into. The single common complaint among them was the issue of retrieving money. At the end of the day, the free market rules. Maybe you've found your next venture: develop a poker site that makes payouts more equitable and you'll probably get richer more quickly than by playing the sites that don't. |

Sucks! Too bad it's not like it used to be with epassporte. Sure you paid a few bucks for the service but it made it real simple to do (could walk down to local 7/11 and pull money off my poker site account via ATM machine (mins. after moving it over to epassporte). I'm in a bit of a jam myself at the moment. I've got a bunch of $'s tied up on sites I don't really like to play on & very little on sites I would prefer to be playing on. Going to look into the Moneybookers route (which I'm assuming will mean I'll have to deposit more on all the sites I want to withdrawl from, using my Moneybookers account??). Fulltilt (& Pokerstars) should open up a bank ffs.... The Bank of Howard. I'd open an account tomorrow. |

| Full Tilt finally emailed me five days later. They confirm what the last poster said, which is that you have to wait 90 days following your first deposit before withdrawing or transferring. I have to wait until late May before I can get my money out. What a bunch of rotten garbage those people are! Meanwhile, PartyPoker offers its own MasterCard. Withdrawal is a simple matter of transferring funds from your poker account to your Party Cashier MasterCard and then going to the bank machine. They do charge $12.50 to get the card and $4.50 per ATM withdrawal, but if you've made enough money to withdraw in the first place the $4.50 is not that big a deal. Party also offers a Canadian EFT deposit method where the money is deposited directly from your Canadian bank account. The money is released instantly up to your pre-approved limit. Of course, the minimum deposit amount is much lower than the minimum withdrawal amount, but that's par for the course. Every scumbag poker site does that. I'm having decent results on Party and am going to stick with it from now on. Does anyone know whether Full Tilt hits you with administration fees if you don't play on their site for a certain period of time? I'd hate to lose even more money when those rotten pieces of walking botulism are already earning interest by investing MY money that's trapped on their site. |

| Use to play at PS and Full Tilt but with complications associated for US players, I'm giving up trying to make deposits. Both sites are recommending Western Union, but their rates are way too high; worse than site rake. Without bank deposits and withdrawals, far too complicated and time consuming. Same thing for prepaid gift cards. Too bad. Guess I go back to brick and mortar. |

Yes, I did read the T&C and it said nothing whatsoever about the restrictions I've encountered. |

| The min withdrawal on FTP is $100 for me. I don't see the big deal. A LOT of players wouldn't play if they had to deposit a minimum of $100. Someone else made the point in a dif thread that the poker site doesn't want to be making a bunch of small transactions every time some kid wants beer money or a pack of smokes. The withdrawal minimums are clearly stated within in the withdrawal tabs in the cashier at FTP. |

| Is there something wrong with the local bank transfer service? I see it there and I think it would definitely be the easiest option for me but I hear people complaining about having to use moneybookers etc. Why not get it transferred straight to your bank account? |

The Full Tilt Poker hired reps on this site can have their fun, but by last count there have been at least five threads since the start of February about difficulties withdrawing money from Full Tilt. And no, their withdrawals page does NOT tell the whole story. Read it for yourselves and see. |

That and more is on the first page: Withdrawal by Check You can also request a withdrawal by check if your cash out is between $100 and $2,000. Also many of the threads that were started were because of the US Banks, not Full Tilt. |

| When I first read thread I saw Have you ever noticed how every single poker site has higher withdrawal limits than deposit limits--sometimes four or five times as high? And I said, hell yeah, I want to withdraw at least four or fives times more than I put in. Then I visited my withdraw page on Pokerstars and see in fact they allow me $1,000,000 in withdraws per 24 hours - BUT I can only deposit $2500 per 24 hours. |
