I Forgot to Cash My CarbonPoker Check

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.
In October, I withdrew approximately $900 from my poker account (this was my first and only withdrawal from the site). In November, I received a check from "XJM Group Inc." dated 11/1/2013 for the correct amount. On the face of the check, it said "Void 90 Days From Check Date". I didn't make it to the bank until around January 10th to cash the check. On January 15, I received a notification from my bank that the check was returned to them unpaid (XJM Group Inc.'s bank, CIBC, didn't pay it).
I immediately informed Carbon of the issue, and they cited their policy of not being responsible for withdrawal issues after 45 days of the date of the check (I was just outside this window). After much email correspondence, they told me that they no longer had the money, since they use third parties for payments. I have called the third party, XJM Group, about 10 times and left a message with a "receptionist" each time. Each time it's a different receptionist, and each time she tells me everyone else in the office is out that day.
Anyone else had this issue with CP? Obviously they have the power to resolve this issue with the company they do business with, but they refuse to, and are hiding behind their "45-day" policy.

Regardless of anything else why have a 900$ check sitting around for two months? As soon as I would ever see that my money is void at any point I would make it a priority to get the check in the bank ASAP to allow time to process and deal with any issues within that window if they happened to occur.

Just my thought that seems strange you would wait so long to deposit.

but, since that part of money is on your side, and you let the money itself expired.
If they refused to reissue checks, it is also fair, since you open the account I believe the rules pop up, and believe most of the players did not pay attention to that.

If I were you, I would let carbon know the situation, and see if by any chance, they would reissue a new check.

I have agree with bluffmeallin. I am a new member of carbonpoker and haven't had a withdrawl yet but i looked into the deposit/withdrawl stories of others on a different forum before i sign up for carbon and bovavda. its seems to always be tricky with checks and banks so i would have got it to bank right away. I mean site like this have so many clients and so much money going around. yea they are going to hide behind the 45-day policy, probably why its there. Thats really a bummer man. I checked out this post cause i always check out withdrawl stories about sites i have an account on.

Does anyone know the fastest easiest way to get money out of carbon? i realize the two may not fit together, so i'll say easiest.

I reached out to the OP 2 weeks ago to try to assist him with this issue and he never responded.

I am not aware of players having issues with Carbon.

I've never had a problem with Carbon.

Also, very nice of you to go out of your way to help OP. What an awesome forum this is (what awesome mods. we have... which results in an awesome forum).

I think if there is a next time, deposit in the bank the same day you get it!!
