It's not the sites that have any control over this, it's the credit card companies that do not allow it.

I'm sorry, I don't think I quite understand. How are you to deposit to your debit card without going through your bank? Your Visa debit card is essentially an ATM card (meaning it is of course linked to your bank account, and not a "charge" or "credit" card).

Do you have Neteller? It really makes life a whole lot easier. But withdrawing from online poker sites is going to go through your bank one way or another. Whether you have it wired or have them cut you a check. There's just no way around it.

OK. Check this out: https://www.neteller.com/learn/usingNetellerCard.jsf

You can apply for a Neteller Card (it's like an ATM). What you do is withdraw your poker funds to your Neteller account, then put those funds on your Neteller Card. The link above will give you more details. Let me know what you think.

D'oh! I wonder if you tried contacting Neteller support if they may be able to help you out? Send it to your hotel or something...?

Well, you just take your Visa, Mastercard, American Express (do they even have American Express in Australia? ) to any bank and use that to get the traveler's cheques. They look similar to an actual check, but instead have set denominations on them (like cash).

There's two places where you sign the checks. Usually the top signature line you sign on all of them as soon as you get them. Then when you use them to purchase, you sign the other line at that time (as a security measure). They are usually insured in some way so that if they are lost or stolen, you can call your credit card company and have them replaced.

I would say get the cheques, then, when you get home, withdraw what you need from your online sources to pay your credit card. You could get traveler's cheques now, instead of waiting days and days to somehow clear some funds from online.

if you live in the US I think it was made ilegal a few years ago because of people depositing 1000's losing and then claming that they will not pay because of stupid reasons.
You might be able to use the atm card from neteller this way though
