What's factors should you consider when raising and re raising pre flop? (raise size)

Also I'f ur playing tourneys do u raise size different to cash games

position.....past hand history...so you know what range of hands to put your opponent on.....as a general rule...you need a stronger hand to call a raise so to reraise you need an even stronger hand
