Rakeback question
I did a search on rakeback and most of the sites I found on this require you to use their rakeback specific password when you create your account. Is anyone aware of a rakeback program that you can use even after you've created an account with a site??

I have heard of players who have played a site for a long time being allowed to setup a rakeback account.
Also during this difficult time I think asking customer support to give you rakeback might be worth the effort. They want to keep customers and this is one way to keep you playing at their site. |

There was a certain well-known affiliate (who, out of courtesy to the board owners and operators, will not be mentioned here) that actively promoted being able to "opt in" to their rakeback programs at Absolute and Full Tilt (among others) for a short time, provided that when they signed up they did not do so through another affiliate - and I imagine most other affiliates of any size were able to get new players under them this way.
27% rakeback at Full Tilt and Absolute is nothing to sneeze at, considering I was getting nothing before ![]() |

yep exactly, they already make money from you in the cases you describe, therefore offering the signup for rakeback is ok for them.
I am interpreting medieros' question as finding a rakeback program when you have not signed to the site via them....which will never happen, because it would mean someone giving away money for nothing. |

Thanks for the responses guys. Now, I have a second question. For those who have participated in a rakeback program, did you use that in leiu of any matching bonus a site may offer or in addition to?
PokerStars- Guin, I think I will try to email CS to see if I can subscribe. Worst thing they can do is say no right! |

Always use it in addition to any bonus program, if you can help it. Absolute, for example, does not subtract bonuses from your rakeback totals, while Full Tilt does.
I still make more money at Full Tilt having bonuses subtracted from rakeback than I do with getting just rakeback. |

I guess without knowing what site(s) you are specifically talking about, I can't help you on that question. Usually, bonus or affiliate codes are entered to make sure that you're being credited to the right affiliate.

Enter the code given by the rakeback site. They may call it a "rakeback code", but, all it is is a bog standard bonus code. IE the one code is good for both the rakeback and bonus in virtually all cases.
