Question about the gambling ban Not realy poker related but it has to do with the online gambling ban so I put it here. The other day a friend of mine told me that betting on horses online is still legal in the US. I was just wondering if this is true or not, seems prety messed up if it is.

I've never heard of betting on horses online, but I'm not a horse race bettor either. Horse racing is still legal. Besides, the 'gambling ban' really isn't that, anyway, right? I assume you're referring to the recent crap with Frist and the stuff about not allowing US financial institutions to make or accept payments to/from gambling sites.

re: Question about the gambling ban poker Yes, in certain states you can wager on Horse Racing online. Pennsylvania is one of those states. We have a state lottery, horse racing, we will begin having Slot parlors in January, but no table games, and no poker rooms.
