Pure Evil Chat at Full Tilt

Well, here's a first for me. I just reported another player at Full Tilt for Chat Abuse. In 6 years I don't think I've ever witnessed anything as vile as this and that's saying alot.

The incident occurred in my bustout hand of a $26 KO. The chat was directed towards the winner of the hand (obviously) by a player named munkmunky. I really don't mind putting his name out there as I believe that anyone who speaks to another human being the way he did should forfeit his right to privacy.

There was much more both before during and after this but this was by far the worst of it. I just can't think of anything more EVIL than wishing harm to someones children. Just disgusting!

I agree--that kind of chat is really bad, the worst actually. Please let us know if FT gets back to you about what, if anything, they did about this.

Ive seen some shit but thats utter ridiculous. How terrible. That guy deserves more than just a punch in the mouth imo

I have seen something very similar, it is very horrible. I have also been told by someone that they hope I get hit by a car or something like that. Funny, but sad imo!

I understand Four Dogs how upset you are. Given the lack of regulation online poker has, it's most likely this emanated from an immature 14 year old who wanted to vent after a tough beat.

I attended an all boys high school in The Bronx and although I was never one to speak like this, there were guys who would joke with one another in this tone. I'm not advocating this behavior at all, I just understand the character trait of the person it comes from.

I guess he was losing a lot of money that day and took out his frustrations in chat. I don't like what he said but it happens all the time in online poker. I usually block a players chat if they get out of line.

I've seen people berate other people because of what country they lived in, one time I couldn't believe what the one guy was saying about the other guys wife,and he was saying it like he meant all the women of that country were like that, I've also seen people say that about the cancer and aides thing to other players I've noticed some sites have taken that function off

Honestly? People talk shit, Not a big deal. People are idiots, not a big deal. It does not mean anything nor does it affect anything so whatever. Reporting it is probably best but it is still nothing to care about and certainly not evil.

Its 99% venting and ppl being nasty...no point getting sucked into that crap or even having to read it.

You don't think wishing someones children get cancer is evil? I've got 3 kids, so yeah, this really bothers me.There's no way this is just some normal guy on tilt. I can deal with bullies, I can deal with racists but this was sick shit. I don't think evil is too strong a word to describe it.

Your response to the remarks is the only thing that gives such remarks any validity.

Just because someone wishes something (and this is assuming he actually wants your children to have cancer.) doesn't mean it will happen.

The whole idea that this person, whom has no clue who you are, if you even have kids, what country you live in, HAS ANY SAY over what happens in your world is just silly, border-line paranioa.

On a similar note.. not quite as bad as that.. but I've ran into many people with some filthy mouths before.. some wishing others to die. Yesterday, this guy was going off on every hand he did not win and started berating a playing for hitting trips on the flop and calling him all kinds of names, when the guy who was yelling at him min raised on the dude's BB with a small pocket pair.

I usually don't step in.. I know I should just let him tilt and be done with him (he was out 3 hands later).. but I said, "well, maybe you should have did more than just min raise".. and he goes, "maybe you should suck off my dog"... I don't know anyone over the age of 13 that would say something like that. All I said after that was "You need help, kid"

I think it's best that I turn the chat function off again like I did for most of last year, unless I'm in a CC game.

I'm pretty sure no one here really thinks that this guy can give someone else's kids cancer just by wishing it...... but thanks for confirming that.. you know, just in case someone here had that suspicion, and was actually worried.

Im not justifying what he said but it is not like he has control over whether or not your children get cancer hence why it means nothing. Just an asshole.

Oh, it wasn't even directed at me. I never said a word to him. I just reported the abuse to Full Tilt. Still, you'd have to be a mannequin not to get a least a bit riled by this.

Had I lost the hand I would be pissed. But the fact that he has no money is good enough for me.

His anger is all the punishment for him I want. I know the feeling and the fact you are so angry and nothing to do about it is what hurts the most.

That's why he lashes out so, so he can inflict the pain he is feeling. To respond to it is to give him what he wants.

Banning his account may hurt him, if they only stop his chat thing for a while that will only make him happy. It will affirm the knoweldge that someone was effected.

The fact you did not respond I commend, it did not relieve him of his anguish.

i play with player chat, but i don't get rattled by stuff like OP. i think its definitely more +EV for me to play with player chat

I can honestly say Ive never been at a table where I was somehow enlightened or entertained by player chat.

I don't chat that often, and lately I have turned that chat off all together, ( less entertaining, but less distracting) If I had seen that, I would have egged him on even more, cause I used to have a bad mouth like that, but now I just think it's funny when idiots like that go off. When I can, I do egg them on and watch them crash and burn.

What he said was stupid, but if what a nameless, faceless meathead says hurts somebody's feelings, maybe that person should find something else to do.

If chat isn't aimed at me. I let it go but if it is, then I guilt factor him. Maybe saying its to late, already happened etc.

I know thats wrong as well but most players vent then calm down and the guilt kicks in.
