November Results/December goals

Well my month kinda sucked. Won at a record 1.05 PTBB/100 and didn't play enough hands. Used most fpps for T$ to enter tourneys and cashed for like $300 total in those. Got like 15k fpps left now and I think I'm just going to save the for the 4k bonus. Gonna play almost no hands this week since I've got 2 projects to finish up then exams the next 2 weeks. Then I'm gonna grind a ton and attempt 100k hands next month. May even be prop betting $500 with another 200nl reg on who will have most profits in first 100k hands at 200nl FR next month. Both going for the 200k vpp milestone bonus and both about 100k hands away. Milestone is $2k but the 50k fpps are worth ~$800 at 1.6c/fpp so the milestone is actually worth a free $1200 .

***Nov results/Dec goals***

Nice comeback for me. Had that one weekend where I took a shot at 2/4, ran like shit, dropped back to 1/2, ran like shit...I dropped like 3k in 3 days. Not fun. Last few days have been very good to me though. 2.5x button raises ftw! My NSD winnings are really hopping up. Results below.

Dec. goals for me are basically to achieve SN and play as much as I can. Real life is keeping me pretty busy. Blog entry coming later tonight with real goals.

34k hands at 100nl at just about break even (well less than 1bb/100) . Plugged lots of holes and learned to 10-table though so all good

About $900 up on tournies which was also nice.

Target for December is Supernova as per my competetion thread.

Here's current position.

Really shitty finish to the month. Still turned a profit.

+ $200ish from donkaments.
+ $250 pokerstars bonus for getting platinum.
+ $280ish worth of fpp's

Total ~$1,400 for the month, ill take. Not going to be retaining plat for December..

I'll spare you the lame near-break-even graph from November, but my goal for December is to qualify for Iron Man on Full Tilt in order to get the bonus they're offering.

Qualify for any of the four Iron Man status levels in December and receive a bonus at the beginning of January. The bonus is based on the number of months you’ve qualified for the Iron Man Challenge during the second half of 2008 (July through December) and the status levels you achieved each month:
  • Bronze - $25/Month
  • Silver - $50/Month
  • Gold - $75/Month
  • Iron - $100/Month

I don't have anything to share really, so my goals will be to keep track of my sngos and mtts so I can have results for next month...finish a block for the sng LB each week, play a tournament regularly. I'll wait until I'm atleast triple rolled for 25nl to play and post a ring graph.

Pretty interesting month for all of us. I rallied the last 2 days to recoup some money and some pride. I feel very positive going into December.

This month was basically broken down into three parts:

Part 1 : A breakeven stretch lasting 8,500 hands to start the month. Played well but kept getting coolers.

Part 2: A heater stretch lasting about 7,500 hands in the middle of the month. Played well, hit hands, hit sets, hands held up, ran into some droolers and got value.

Part 3: A serious downslide where I hit some gross coolers at a new higher level, which got me on tilt and trying to play too wide a range in EP and wasnt able to lay down cracked hands like AA and KK. Last 2 days of month played well and profitably, getting back to nitty TAG style.

Total Month Profit:

Cash Games: +$521
Rakeback from T$: +$121
TOTAL: +$642

Made ~400 this month including a few sngs and selling $T.
50NL shot didn't go quite as planned as you can see. Actually looks identical to when I took my first shot at 25nl. i failed in playing 5,000 hands of 50nl this month but managed to maintain silverstar.

1st 6500 hands are 25nl full ring, where i pretty much brokeven
then 25nl 6max followed by 50nl 6max, dropped to 10nl 6max for a few thousand hands after I took that big hit
and a few 25nl hands towards the end.

No poker for me for the last ten days as they've been mostly spent on moving to my new apartment. Also, no internet at home yet, so no graph.

Before that, I had a break-evenish month, scoring about $300 over 20k hands at 50nl mostly, but also played a bit more than 1k hands at 100nl and it feels confortable. i hit less than 10% of sets and am quite below my all-in EV line, so breaking evenish is fine i think.

Also, did my first cashout ever (to my bank account from neteller) which gives a really nice feeling. Since I never deposited (apart from transfers through neteller), i'm now officially a winning poker player. :-)

Goals for december are

1. Get the internet going at home.
2. Play some poker. hopefully more 100nl than 50nl, but respecting BRM.

How do you all get those cute graphs? I think I need cute graphs too!

I doubt I've played 20,000 hands this year though so probably won't make that much difference.

November was good for me on FT, went from approx $40 to $227 thanks to a freeroll win and a couple of seconds in the CC buyin.

Stars was almost the same amount I started with.

Ultimatebet was down $45, all lost after the Cereus changeover so I've quit playing there for awhile except freerolls and the occasional CC buyin.

I'll waste a little bandwidth and post in this thread too. All $25nl fr.

Two straight months of positive results, so I'm generally satisfied. I have quite a few things to work out, as I'm still capable of acting like an idiot at times.

November was good, I just didn't put in nearly enough hands. Stud went terribly, only breaking even after rakeback & bonus were taken into account. 6-max went very well, with $684 earnings plus ~$170 in rakeback & bonuses.

The graph is about a 75%/25% mixture of $25NL & $50NL. 10.7bb/100 makes me happy

Oh yeah, I need goals:

1) Play like 30k hands of 50NL.

Yea, forgot goals:

1.) Study and actually do good on my finals
2.) Don't withdraw anything from my BR so I can comfortably stay at 200NL
3.) Play when I get a chance, but don't go crazy playing since I have a ton of work to do/will be on vacation later in the month

Goals:

1) Watch the four FR videos recommended by WVH this first week
2) Play my obligatory 20k hands (meaning renew Gold Status)
3) Come up with some good solid 2009 goals assuming the UIGEA be repealed
4) Do a HH Review of a session from a CC Superuser (200nl+ player)
5) Prep myself to play 9-tables of FullRing and attempt to make it my regular thing
6) Enjoy playing a nitty tag style and remember the lessons of November.

November went good for me in tourneys +$3400

Not so good in cash games. 40k hands and down $1000 mostly at 100NL 6-max but some at 200NL 6-max as well.

December Goals:
1) Play at least 50k Hands
2) Watch at least 3 vids a week from CR or DC
3) Stop running like dog crap in 6-max
4) Stay disciplined to stay at 100NL until I have at least 50 BI's for 200NL
5) Finish reading Zen and the Art of Poker and start another book, any suggestions?

Nov Results:

Moved up to 50nl about halfway through the month and played poorly, made some adjustments there at the end. I think I can beat 50nl, but only time will tell.

Dec. Goals.

(1) Maintain Gold vip
(2) stop paying people off with marginal hands
