Major / Profession and Poker Style In one of the other threads people were discussing the correlation between being a History major and being a NIT. I thought it was an interesting concept so I thought I would make a thread devoted to it. So state your area of study or profession along with your stats / style of play. For added fun we can include the variations of poker that we enjoy. Political Science / Economics TAG 15/11/62 (Small Sample) at 5NL

I think you are confusing aggression factor with aggression frequency. A 6 aggression factor is high. A normal aggressive AF number is usually between 3 and 4. An AF of 60 is pretty much impossible over any large sample. Heck, over 20 is pretty much impossible.

Clinical psych (degree, not profession-- I'm a project manager at the National Institutes of Health): Mostly FR cash games (2NL) and am currently 21/14/2.5 (about 5.5K hands) for the past 2.5 months. My play has changed a lot since November because I'm taking things much more seriously, gotten involved in CC, and studying a lot more (plus got a HUD--PT3-- and use it to review lots of my hands). I'd like to think I'm basically a TAG but not sure my current stats agree with that. I like the premise of this post: My fascination with poker really is connected to psychology. I love the combination of player dynamics with the math.

I must make a further ammendment to my stats. I included all tracked stats for the past year, but if I were to narrow down from when I really started taking my game seriously I have been running 17/10/5. (VP/PFR/AF) This is for SNG and MTT. I don't really play any cash, but I filtered out my cash stats anyways.
