I started playing online poker and practiced several years before trying a live tournament. I was all hyped up about trying to read faces and signals from the other players. As I kept playing live tourneys, I started to notice there is no difference in the game play as online, meaning you still have to consider people are going to get into pots they shouldnt be in with crap. Mind you, these are just $20 entry tourneys, but I expected more from live play. Yes there are some signals from players, but most of these signals are the amounts of a bet or raise, not much facial signals. So my respect for online poker has risen from just a practice place. I would be just as comfortable playing a money tourney online as live.
The big WSOP
is a different story.
