| You mean Chris 'Gettin Daize' Oliver, one of the best online MTT'ers in the world. This is no fluke, I particularly loved the hand where he 6-bet shoved 75s into someones AK and flopped K55 for a 2million chip pot. At least 10th level thinking he is super aggressive and super successful online but hasn't played live a great deal. Check him out on p5's he seems a nice guy |

It's not like you need a college degree to play poker. You need a degree of intelligence to be good at it, but just because he dropped out of high school doesn't mean he's stupid. Why does it bother you that someone who dropped out of high school could possibly hit a big payday in poker? Good for him! I hope he wins it! |

| Well, if you didn't watch it, the fat kid blew it: http://www.pokerjolt.com/news/poker-...ver-to-win-PCA Calling an all-in with A,9 offsuit when you're the big chip leader in the biggest tourney the world has ever seen outside Vegas? Starting to see why high school was such a struggle for him. Stupid, stupid call. |

By 16, he was spending time in pool halls, hustling, sports betting, and playing cards.[3] When he was several credits short of graduation, Daniel dropped out of high school and began his life as a rounder playing at the local charity casinos, usually at Casino Country and Fundtime Games, and looking for illegal games around the city. http://www.pokerearners.com/danielnegreanu.html Born in Canada, Daniel Negreanu got hooked on playing poker in his teen years. The call of the cards proved to be too tempting for him and he dropped out of high school just short of graduating. His dream was to become a professional poker player and the place to do that was Las Vegas. Before he set off for the bright lights of Sin City, Daniel Negreanu had to grow his bankroll. He did that through playing poker through local games both legally and illegally. |
