Had A Bot Blocker PopUp On PokerStars Today

Today I was playing in the Saturday Duel ,... For the people that don't know its a $11 Head up muilt. It had around 4000 people in it...I busto in 57th...anyways....

After the first round I was waiting for my next match and a pop up came over my chat box. It said something like this......

"Please enter the text above within 120 seconds to prove you are a human player, This is a security feature to stop poker playing bots"

(something like that its not word for word i forget exact what it said and didnt take a screen shot)

So I entered the word "fighter" and it went away, I was asking other players about it and no one would answer me.
I've never seen this before on Stars,....I emailed them and haven't had a response.

So did any Cards Chatter's play in it and have this pop up happen too?

I've gotten it before. It's just a random security check.

really thats crazy...been playing on pokerstars for 7 years and never seen or heard of this...and i play all the time

I thought it had to do with the massive field of player playing head up....lol since most of them play like bots lol.....

They should hold a HeadsUp Bot Championship. That'd be cool. (good advertising for the winner too... prolly sell more bots for sure )

Winner could posts a vid. on YouTube -> Took down a 180plyr. SNG without even looking at holecards.... actually without even looking at any cards. Annbott_15 ftw!

This has been standard procedure for a while on pokerstars. I always wondered why FTP didn't do something similar, when it was pretty obv bots had infested alot of their games. Eventually they stepped up their security and did a mass-banning tho.

has happened to me acouple of times, good security feature imo.

If it happens now at least I know it is genuinely from pokerstars.

LMAO I doubt it , I 3 bet too light to be a bot...After I posted my roommate told me he had it pop up before....And I guess he asked me what it was....I have a bad memory if I forgot about that....probably just drunk at the time lol

Maybe it's related to how often you type anything in the chat box - bots don't chat AFAIK.

I'v heard of it happening before, but never had it happen to me. It is good, you're right, I'm very curious though,

what if you are actually not reading your text box? I often have "info" tab selected fof example, or if you are away from your pc at the time? What does it actually do if you fail to enter the text? Could be a problem for people playing massive amounts of tables too and table ninja selecting info boxes etc.

It happen to me one time last year, i didn´t answer and nothing happen, so not sure what is that about.
