Lol funny video. But yea pointless swat teams running around bullying people and shooting them for a war on drugs(pointless) a war on guns (2nd admendment dipshits) and a war on poker( again pointless) oh and a war on terrorism (use common sense there is no threat, 9/11 was an inside job) a war on freedom and liberty is what it really is. You know we could solve the countries problems by revolting.

I'm not too happy that PPA is using our money to make cutesy videos that will not have any impact in the needed areas. Another political move by an organization to give their constituents the illusion of doing something. What incentive does the PPA have to do anything beyond going through the motions seeing as how accomplishing their mission will put them all out of a job?

re: The Future For Online Poker? 9/11 was not an inside job lol? Its just silly and all of those videos out there are chopped to make their story sound true. Media your right lobby groups have very little incentive to push legislation all the way through. However its probably unlikely that they are intentionally trying to keep legislation up in the air.

What I meant by "scared to play" was are you guys yanking your bankrolls from the sites that still allow US players (or not making any more deposits for some) in fear that they too may be frozen in the future? Also will there be possible punishment/fines for US players? Just wondering how comfortable everyone felt about playing now. |

Oh, okay - not comfortable at all. I wasn't comfortable with the other sites to begin with and stuck with PS and FTP for playing. So this doesn't make me more comfortable. As far as cashing out... I submitted to PS to cashout and got the email response t allow 15 days for a check to arrive (I opted for check because it only made sense that an e-transfer was going to be a problem). Here is the string: I go through cash out and get email response - Cashout request time: 2011/04/15 21:37 CT Cashout amount: USD XXXX.XX A check for USD XXXX.XX will be issued. Credit transaction #5409XXXXX The check will be issued by our payment processor, NOT by POKERSTARS. If you have any questions or require further clarification please contact the customer support number detailed on the check. Alternatively, you may contact "PokerStars Cashier" <cashier1@pokerstars.eu> Please allow up to 72 hours for cashout processing. Note: USD Checks will be delivered by regular mail and are expected to arrive within 15 business days. We strongly recommend that you deposit your check at your bank and avoid using check cashing stores. Then 5 days later I get this (note the 72 hours in their message above) - Hello MediaBLITZ, This email is to notify you that the following cashout via Cheque Issued was rejected. Cashout request time: 2011/04/15 Cashout amount: USD XXXX.XX Cheque Issued cashout transaction ID: 5409XXXX The amount of USD XXXX.XX has been credited back to your PokerStars account balance. If you have any further questions regarding this transaction, please contact "PokerStars Cashier" <cashier1@pokerstars.eu>. Best regards, Allegedly this was soley because (email sent on same day) - Dear MediaBLITZ, We were very pleased to receive the news today that allows US players to cash out their real money balances. In response to this update, the Cashout Option in the PokerStars Cashier will be temporarily closed to allow us to prepare the technical solutions and formulate the plan and processes required to allow you to cash out your balance. In the interim, any pending cashouts have been returned to your account in order to ensure players have the opportunity to cash out orderly. Please be assured, US player balances are safe. We will notify all US players as soon as the cashier is available again. Providing you with the facility to cash out is our top priority right now, and hopefully all US players will be able to cash out via the PokerStars Cashier in the near future. We apologize for the temporary delay, and sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation, as we continue working towards providing you with a solution to cash out. Regards, PokerStars Support The message that pops up when accessing the usual playing software is - An agreement has been reached with the US Department of Justice to allow United States Poker Stars customers to cashout their funds. PokerStars will work diligently to expedite those withdrawals. All Poker Stars player deposits are completely safe. While we prepare the technical solutions and formulate the plan and processes required to allow you to cash out your balance, the Cash Out option in the PokerStars Cashier will temporarily be unavailable. We will notify all US players as soon as this option is available again. Link to FAQ - http://www.pokerstars.com/usaplayers/faq/ You know, all this time I was under the assumption that PokerStars had the technical solutions and had formulated the plan and processes required to allow me to cash out my balance. I guess I assumed too much. And personally, I have no fear or worries about any individual punishments coming to players - but I would imagine the IRS (taxes) could be getting a list of names to scrutinize

I am saddened by what happened and how my gov has it's collective head up it's ass, but there are still many rooms that accept Americans and i was a member of a lot of them before this Black Friday thing happened. In fact i personally liked the Merge rooms better then any other ones so i will still be playing.Although the horse races will get more of my money once again
