| Easy to understand, but I'm not crazy about it. Instead of traditional blinds, everyone puts in an ante. There is a forced bet though from what would be the small blind and the forced bet is about what would be a small blind from what I've heard. There is supposed to be more action and a faster pace since everyone has some at stake in each hand, so action junkies will probably benefit in the long run and the old school rocks will fail. |

| I love playing ante better than big and small blind that's the way I first started playing poker. Everyone ante up and you can buy more chips. I played like a cash game with no big or small blind. Well that's the way I played with my friends. |

The ante is irrelevant as everyone pays it, the money is gone not yours. There's more incentive to play IP because of a bigger preflop pot and virtually none from the BB. |

| There is a question among my friends as to how much the 1st to bet can bet in an ante only game. I think it the first person to bet has to bet at least the minimum (equal to the ante), but could bet more ... even in the small blind. Some of my friends say they can only bet the minimum and can only raise if someone following raises. Who is correct? |
