I have a question, lets say I have an account on a poker site, however I did not do rakeback. Am I able to create a new account on the same site on a different IP Address, from a totally different place (My college dorm room) Or once I login from my old IP will my account get banned. In otherwords do poker sites run off IP the account was created on or ip's it's used on.

im guessing the Ip it was created on because I usually have firends over that use the same site as me and they log on using theirs and there is never a problem.

Sun Poker and Absolute let me create new accounts with different e-mail addresses and screennames so I could sign up under rakeback affiliates - call customer service for the site in question and see what they say. Some sites may require you to close out your account, and wait a couple of months before you can signup with your rakeback affiliate, however.
