Win the CC team event, and all the side bets from the team captains that have the balls to take it. - LUCKSACKS. At least I won enough to cover the side bets.

Learning what hands in relation to stack size become unprofitable to play for stacks pre-flop. IE KK 500bb deep vs QQ 25bb deep. - Sigh, head wreaking stuff.

Take at least 4 sessions on nl$200 - DONE Probably around 8 sessions.

Retain goldstar on pokerstars and actually play some of the VIP freerolls. - Done
March Goals.

Make $1,500.00 on the rings. Retain Goldstar, play at least 2 sets of VIP freerolls.

Play at least 12 sessions on NL$200, and not play scared.

Win a CC event.

Play the Sunday Million at least once.

I didn't post my goals, but here they were:

Get a bankroll online: done (sort of.. sittin' low)
Practice postflop play at bigger limits: woulda been done, but I got coolered very quickly
Win a Team Event: Done
Win a CC buy in: didn't play any
Read THROUGH the HOH series: still just skimming
Final Table an MTT: Nope. Only played two or so though, haha
Cash in an MTT: Did it last night ($2.20 buy in, cashed for $3.60 lol)

New goals: Retain bankroll
Avoid ring games
Final Table an MTT
Stop sucking at STT/2 table SNG's.

March:

1. get "Gold" Ironman level on FT.
2. get on the + side of $10NL doing it. I have to be able to beat it. I swear I will quit poker if I can't. Currently -$129.00 over 19k hands.
3. catch up on my poker magazines, and read at least two books.

I didn't post any Feb goals as I was running so unbelievably bad, that I only cared about making a profit.
I took out $250 of my roll leaving me with $100 to start the month, and hit NL5. I really wish I played more hands, maybe 30K-40K (my usual amount), but I just wasn't feeling it this month.

Graph.

Now its time to deposit another $100 and get back to NL10. I'm not going to be happy until my BR reaches $500.

March goals.

1) Get BR to $600. (Fairly confident)
2) Play more PLO. (Easy)
3) Play at least 35K hands. (Shouldn't be too hard)
4) Start playing SnG's and show a profit. (Not much of a sng player, but this again shouldn't be too hard)
5) Play at least a tourney a day. (Easy)
6) Re-read HoH V1 and V2. (Easy)
7) Don't run like S**T! (This is the real hard one)

Gl all!

I also agree with the above, and here are my goals for this month/what i tried to do last month as well.

1) Double my BR (done, went from 300 to 900 to currently 750)
2)FT a MTT (done around 4-5 times if I remember correctly
3) Take down a MTT (also done, with a few 2nds thrown in for good measure)

Really my focus was on MTT's since I am planning on going to vegas in may/june for the WSOP. I felt very very good about my skill increase and therefore now just want to keep it going. March goals:

1)Get up to 1k BR
2)Play 20K ring game hands (hard since I dont do rings as much, want to get back into it)
3)Win 3 MTT's with at least over 200 players
4)Have my Win % at SD be over 75 (tough I know but I need to stop throwing money away by calling 2nd pair when I know Im beat and scenarios like that)
5)Post and play on CC more (Ive been fallin off a bit and I cant lie, I miss you guys lol)
6)Become more well known around CC and hopefully write an article or two this month (just a personal thing, I love it here and definitely feel I can/should contribute a hell of a lor more)

Thats a lot of goals, and I sure hope the months leading up to the WSOP are good to me. Gl all to gettin your goals and may the chips be with you lol.

Also, how do we posts graphs? I tried searching Poker Tracker for it and couldnt find it and I would like to see my Feb graph and see if its all well and good like I hoped.

-Bank some paper Done, graphs included below
-Get myself that monitor I was eyeing in the fpp store Not enough fpps due to small number of hands this month. Not even sure I want the monitor any more.

March goals:

-Play more hands
-Make money
-Experiment with 6-max
-Make more money
EDIT:
-Buy and read Professional No Limit Holdem, as well as the harrington books and Negreanu's new book if they come out next month.
-Read more non-poker-related books.

Not sure if I'll have time due to personal issues in RL, but I'd like to make platinum and really start hitting the tables more often.

1) To read all of Phil Gordon's Little Green Book, try to put some aspects of it into use and then ask lots of awkward questions here about it until I'm sure I understand what he's getting at.

2) To read the parts of Ed Miller's Getting Started in Hold'Em that relate to NLHE.

PT3b5 graph, nice how it sizes so well. This is only from FT and PokerStars. I did pretty well at Ultimatebet, but it is not shown here.

I have no goals. Only to never deposit again. Closest thing to a goal would be to keep the general trend going.

I don't really have goals either dj, as I've posted before I guess I am classified as a "recreational" player (no that doesn't mean donkey ).
But the never depositing again is a goal I like, I think I shall try that except for the "I deposit because cardschat has me playing another poker room yet again". I have money on 3 sites now due to the above rule.
Well 4 if you count vegas247 but I've tried to donk al that off.

Good riddance to Feb. 1st 18k hands were like, meh. The next 8k hands were like WTF . I played around 900 hands last night and TBH I played really well and still lost 1.5 BI's.

So I'm not setting any goals for March .

Here were my goals for the month:

1. Keep track of all results in both PokerTracker 3 and in my Excel Sheet.
2. Play more online poker instead of WoW.
3. Be a *winning* poker player both online and live.

RESULTS:

1. I kept all records!
2. I logged more hours of poker than of WoW.
3. I was a winning poker player at both!!!

PROFIT/LOSS STATEMENT:

Online SnG: + $24.25
Online MTT Tournament: - $6.60
Online Cash Game: + $40.02
Casino & Home Games: + $4.00

TOTAL Profit: + $61.67

Cash Game Graph (PokerTracker 3 can only log FullTilt Right now so Ultimatebet is omitted):

SnG Results:

Average Place: 3.37
In The Money: 52.6%
Profit/Loss: + $24.25
1st/2nd/3rd Finishes : 2 , 6, 3

MARCH GOALS:

1. Log in 3,500 hands in the cash ring game at the $10nl game, and be in the positive.

2. Play the $5 SnGs now, no more $2. Continue the same profit & ITM as Feb, and improve the 1st place win rate.

3. Update my poker blog at least 3 times a week.

4. Do not play in any stupid big buy-in ($60+) casino tournaments.

5. At the end of the month have my total profit exceed February ($61.67).

Don't try too hard on this goal. A high Win%SD means you're probably throwing away the best hand too often.

Yea I agree with you, its more of a trying to get more disciplined in not calling with bad hands I know I am losing with. I.E. I flop pair of kings with ace on board and check/call to river because I think guy is a donk or on a draw etc. I know 75% is way high and I dont really expect to hit it but its just something to keep in mind. I realize I do lose a lot when I feel im "pot commited" because the Ill call a 1 dollar bet in a 4 dollar pot knowing Im beat, and I would rather get better at just knowing im beat and folding those hands.

I forget if I actually did goals for this month, I did them one month before but I'll just go by the one goal I did have, break $1k for my bankroll: complete.

March goals:

Log 50k+ hands
Make platinum on pokerstars (pretty much dependent on whether I meet my first goal)
Get to the point where multi-tabling 50nl I have a win-rate of 3+BB/100 (I'd prefer something between 4 and 5, but a 3 BB/100 winrate is better than any job I'll be getting, so that's my goal)
Help team LAG win the team event by doing well in today's and tomorrow's tournaments
Read Harrington on cash games, can't wait for that to come out
Continue to contribute to the forum and continually work at getting better

This is true, but you also can't go too far the other way. Just remember, $1 into a $4 pot gives you 5 to 1 so even if you're right 16% of the time it's a good call.

ugh, forgot I'll be gone with no poker over Spring break (but baseball in Florida > poker anyway, at least when it's only a week) so my first 2 goals probably won't happen. #4 on the other hand...

Feb Results

Got a small bankroll going from 1 euro up to 20 euros and lost it while tired and drunk(yup stupid me).

March goals

1) Try to get a BR going from freerolls and finish the month with a profit no matter how small,

2) Try a few card chat freerolls, see how the forumites do it and hopefully get them to asses my play a little.

3) Re-read the stratagy articles untill they are stuck in my brain.

4) Try to post more in the forum (allthough mostly as a biginner I feel like I have nothing great to imput at this time)

As a beginner you are probably more likely to benefit from posting questions and requesting hand analyses, rather than giving input to others...

Well March results..I played quite a bit and I don't really have much to show for it other than my one big tournament win. I won about $1,280 in a $5 MTT, played around at higher limits ($20 Sit and goes, $50NL) and lost about $100..I decided that I wasn't ready for those limits yet and withdrew all but $500. Now I'm down to around $300 because I've been screwing around without any goals set for myself and I haven't really been following any BR management at all. So I have set some goals for myself for March to help me focus more.

March Goals

1. Get to $500 playing $10NL by March 25th (the date isn't set in stone, I'm not sure how many hands I'll be able to play)
2. Read all 3 Harrington on Hold'em books (this might take a little more than a month since I have reading for school to do, but I can start)
3. Follow BR Management rules.
4. FT at least on MTT

That's all I can think of for now, I am just getting the hang of 9 tabling $10NL so I don't think getting to $500 by the 25th should be a big problem since I will probably be able to play at least an hour a day, probably more most days. Once I get to $500 I might move up to $25NL, we'll see.

Here is something to think about. I know this goes against all poker mantra but when Im calling that 1-4 I dont want to be right 16% of the time, I want to be right 100% of the time. My problem is I AM right 16% of the time and I am breaking even. I want to make money so I really dont want to call unless I am sure Im winning. That didnt come out as well as I hoped but I think you can understand what I am trying to say right?

Well if it's like that, folding is fine, but it's when you have like 30% of a bluff, 16% odds to call, and you fold you are giving away money. Not calling with odds like this is just as bad as either calling a draw without odds or folding a draw when you have odds. Despite the public poker perception, you're never going to be right 100% of the time. The goal is to make the best decision you can given the information you have. By not calling when you think they're bluffing more than the odds give you, you have to call it down and even if you lose the majority of pots you still win long-term. I understand your mindset but I also understand that that mindset will hurt your winrate.

Feb Results:
Came close to the FT of a $1 tourney, but still no luck on that FT at a large (>1000+) tourney.

Well on my way to getting rolled for $10 NL but just didn't play enough hands to achieve what I wanted.

March Goals:
Play more hands (hopefully at least 10k)
Finally get rolled for $10 NL
FT a nice sized tourney
