Yeah those popup ads are a pain in the ass. If you pay the monthly dues you won't have to deal with that, but I haven't done so. I have tried some of their instant cash games open to anyone and their 500 weekly qualifiers to no luck.

I recommend spade club. Use JoeShowdown as a referral. Its a monthly subscription site that has been around since Dec 2007. They have free membership games that can be won fairly easily. I've never paid a month just by winning free memberships over and over. I'm "paid" through the end of the year due to these tourneys.

Not only has Pureplay crashed REGULARLY on me on big hands and late in tournaments, but it seems like half the time I play there my computer gets a virus and I have to spend the rest of the day running spyware doctor.

I tried pureplay and quit. 2 months ago. I clicked on tonight and realized why I quit. A virus security program started downloading itself. Then I remembered. This program loaded itself on my work computer while doing research. It in itself is a virus. Trys to sell its self to remove the problems that it causes. When it tried to load on mine I hit ctrl alt delete and was able to stop it. I had played a half a dozen times before it tried this to me a couple of months ago. Tonight I registered for a tourny because of an email, while waiting for tourney to start, this program came on alerting me to danger. It was the danger. I removed pure play completely from my computer.

I have cashed a few times in the few months I have played there. The more I play, the more I am beginning to believe that they have security issues that allow players to cheat. Case in point, AA in the cutoff, BB at 150. Bet out 1200, SB and BB call. Flop comes out K83. Made a continuation bet of 1200, both called. Turn came 3. Went all in for 4000+ figuring things were pretty good for me since there the only thing I had to beat was a set. Both players called. SB had 88 and BB had 73off. I can't see any decent player calling 2400 on rags or bottom pair unless they are really stupid or are cheating. Play this site and you will see more bad beats than any other site. I will be cancelling my membership when it comes due. Why pay for abuse I can get at the major sites for free with less hassle.

re: Pureplay poker

I checked this site out a while back, I only played a couple of hands on it and had already had enough of the software infact pokerstars is the only site that I actually like the software on.

Anyway has anyone cashed out on pureplay? I just can't imagine it being that easy to do with it being free n all.

I found the exact same thing.

My son downloaded it, and like this Poster mentioned, it put a virus on my computer and then tried to sell me a program to remove it.

I had to backdate my computer to the day before it was downloaded to get rid of it.

AND, I won one of their freerolls. $10 was the prize. I downloaded the claim form, and sent all the information to them, etc. That was 2 months ago..still waiting for that $10 check, which I'm sure will never arrive.
