Playing Poker - Posting Guidelines
Welcome to the Playing Poker board!
A brief summary of what should and shouldn't be posted here, so that we can hopefully keep having to move threads around to a minimum. New and old members alike should take note of this, as I still see some old hands posting things in the wrong place. ![]() What should be posted here: - Discussion directly relating to online poker sites, such as queries regarding depositing, requests for opinions on sites, and tales of your experiences on sites. - Discussion directly regarding brick and mortar poker rooms and/or casinos, such as requests for information on poker rooms in a certain area, tales of your experiences in a certain casino, and so on. - Non-strategy questions regarding specialist games and/or tournaments offered by sites. - Home game queries (for example regarding preparation of home games), and home game stories. What should not be posted here: - Anything that is prohibited by the rules, such as spam. This forum is for discussion of poker sites and rooms, not for blatant advertising of the same. For example "Party Poker are offering a reload now" is fine and belongs here, "Party Poker are offering a reload - use deposit/bonus code 'ihgloa8y4y5g' is spam, and will be deleted. If it's borderline, I suggest not posting it, or running it by a mod first. - Anything not directly relating to poker sites or B&M rooms. For example "How did I play this hand?" is a query for the hand analysis board - obviously you played the hand at a poker room, but the query isn't directly regarding the room - it's regarding the hand. Essentially, use some common sense and you can't go far wrong. ![]() - Any requests for players to join a private tournament or ring game (use the Get a Game Going subforum). Finally, a brief note on 'topicality' (is that even a word?) Quote:
