heads up freeroll

i just found a real cool tourney thats played like every five minutes or so on fulltilt. go to the play money tournements and it will pop up and you gotta register fast but its like 280 people registered and its to win a seat to the nbc heads up tournament. its all heads up and its really fun so if you find it come play. just thought id let you all now.

Played it yesterday - I suggest joining a few because there were long breaks between games and it was quite boring waiting for the next game to start.

Yeah i been playing them myself.
Just dont care for the breaks.
But they are a pretty good sattelite freeroll.
I really liked the poker after dark sattelites they were doing.

no its under sit and gos just go on to that tab and look at the announced they are kind of hard to get in sometimes so be fast

You want to practice your HU play without risking any of your bankroll, these aren't bad.

I am in one of these right now down to 64 and there is a table with both players sitting out. They have to change their policy on what happens if two people are sitting out at a HU table.

Sucks!

One of them will eventually blind out, but you are right. Perhaps if both players are sitting out, the server could accelerate the blinds from maybe 10 minute levels to 2 minute levels until one or the other shows up.

Edit add. My first reaction was that it wouldn't work when it got to hand for hand play because some tables would be having massively larger blinds, but then I realized that these are shootouts, and H4H never happens!

It takes till you get to the the 1600 blind level in order to blind out. That is a long time waiting. I agree that the server should move the blinds to 2 minutes if

a) Both players are sitting
b) It is the last match of the round.

In this case they both applied.

I tried it,, it takes too long when 2 people blind each other out.... i dont wanna wait lol....
But it is good..... may get you into better tournies,,, just gotta freeroll your way in....

I recommend the poker after dark 180 people... gotta watch the itme,, they fill up within 1-2 seconds.. but u can unregister if u win and take the points... i then go to satellite tournies to play for a couple dollars if i get lucky

In all of the games I played in today I only experienced the 2 people sitting out one time. the rest of the matches went fairly smooth and quick. I also played a few at a time.

Wow, I gotta check this out. I (Like everyone else I'm sure) think my heads up game is probably my strongest. The strongest a 100 in the donk test can be at least.

All I found were ones that said they were "Announced" but you couldnt sign up for them. Weird.

Round two is December 6th. What it looks like is 5000 people from round one will play in this round two and 64 players from round two will go tto the final on January 6th where only one person will be picked to be on the TV show.

It's such a long shot but to be even this far makes me happy as a player.

Stay in that room until register is available at the top and then you will have about 5 seconds to click register. Once the room is available the longest wait time is 3-4 minutes.
