CardsChat sends a member to the WSOP Main Event

Okay so KingCurtis and I were joking around that he's going to win the 09 and 2010 WSOP main event, and that I would beat him HU at the end of the 2011 WSOP ME to win it all and dethrone him.

That made me think ... is it possible to have some sort of thing where all CC members who want to pitch in do so and we put together a WSOP ME package? If we got 1,200 people it'd be like $12 a person. ($10k entry, $2k travel)

Maybe this has been discussed before. Just an idea, i'd be down lol

Problem is we would never have anywhere near 1200 people to participate.

even half at 24$ and 300 people at 40$ might be hard....

i dont know i think something could occur though i mean possibly stopping a few of the freerolls maybe 1 or two a week and alternating then once we save up 5k then we could have a buyin i dunno,,,,,just thinking

Okay how about just joining me in Vegas this July 4th weekend for a bender. I think tenbob would rule the city and declare himself "Emperor of Vegas" in a manner of minutes.

it doesnt have to be the main event, why not one of the 1,500$ events, you still get a bracelet. i played two years ago when they had a 1k event and first was still like quarter million.

party at my house if something like this happens!

Maybe that's the more realistic goal. Maybe have 50 to 100 of us get in on that and the winner gets a trip to vegas ($1k?) + entry to the $1500 WSOP event. $2500 total prize package?

50 players = $50
75 players = $33.33
100 players = $25

That seems ridiculously do-able. ChuckTs makes that in 24 seconds by 53-tabling $50nl. I think Zachvac makes that every time he takes a dump. I know for a fact if i ever rail KingCurtis he's good for $100.

Who's in?

Awesome. I'd definitely be down for a couple of events that were $50 or below for a crack at it. That said if this were to happen, I would really hope that the qualifier would have +100 posts (so we don't get the 10 post person) and they are legit CC people ... AND ... they have to post pics and full reports

I think that if we put in 50 or 100 it would have a better chance. Obviously there arent alot of people that would want to try it, but I know I would and I am sure that there are a decent number that would. Even if it was like a large portion of the buyin, like a partial scholorship. =D
Everyone that wants to take a shot at it, chips in 100 and the winner gets that cash towards the trip (lets say for instance it was 3/4). I cant afford a buyin, but I would take a few different chances at smaller sats.

I've never played a LIVE game anywhere before in my life, the first one I don't believe it should be a $1500 buy in I'm going to rail a few CC'ers and vacation, hope to meet many of you there.

But, if one day it ever happens Vanq, I will consider it for eternity

Why not? It's just like any other poker game. And if you get confused you can do like that guy in the USPC did and bet "2 orange and a purple chip".

Zorba and I would have to come out of Melbourne though, which would add another couple of hundred onto it

Regardless, I'd do it for a WSOP seat in a heartbeat.

So what do we do to get this to happen? Start a new thread "People Who Are Down for WSOP" or wait for Nick or a mod to make a comment and lead us?

PokerStars - I'll be in Vegas July 4th weekend. Lets party.

What is the "cutoff" point cash wise? That seems like the most important fact, seeing how much everyone would be willing to put in and then figuring out how much we could get total.
